I think we're getting nicotine. I've never gotten sick vaping but I have with cigarettes. Not OD'ing on cigarettes, I'm not an idiot but just smoking too much or too quickly (sneaking out for a cig) and making myself sick.

I've felt slightly queasy vaping when I haven't eaten. But the same thing used to happen to me smoking.

We're not novices at this whole smoking thing. I think you'd have to have some sort of disorder to vape until you OD on the stuff.

I'll accept or reject any or all opinion and limited testings or studies as I see fit until repeted and verifiable peer-reviewed science has reached a consensus as may be found in journals broadly accepted by those qualified to participate in their content.

And even then they change their minds 5 years later when even more studies come out.

Remember when everyone stopped drinking coffee and eating eggs because they were so bad for you?

I'm not worring about it, I'll probably be dead before any long term reports come out. It may not be perfect, but I couldn't quit smoking and it sure beats smoking. Just use basic common sense. If you didn't smoke until you made yourself sick, you're probably not the type that will vape until you sick. Vaping is pretty great but it's not that great.

Yes, I do. I used to eat breakfast out regularly. I'd order my eggs and then open the newspaper to see whether or not I should be eating them. I've never stopped drinking coffee, but since taking up vaping I've switched to decafinated.

I think the most important thing to remember is that we have quit smoking. I did 17 months ago now and remember the adjustment you have to make. It is important to adjust your frame of mind that you have in fact quit smoking and don't look at vaping as a total replacement but a different habit that you now enjoy that gives you a new satisfaction. Our addiction to smoking was horrible and should be remembered that way as we learn to appreciate our new hobby.

The LD50 of nicotine is 50 mg/kg for rats and 3 mg/kg for mice. 0.5-1.0 mg/kg can be a lethal dosage for adult humans, and 10 mg for children[2][4]. Nicotine therefore has a high toxicity in comparison to many other alkaloids such as ......., which in mice has an LD50 of 95.1 mg/kg. A person can overdose on nicotine through a combination of nicotine patches, nicotine gum, and/or tobacco smoking at the same time. [5][6] Spilling an extremely high concentration of nicotine onto the skin can result in intoxication or even death since nicotine readily passes into the bloodstream from dermal contact.[7]

Hi Shannon. I agree that when buying typical decafs, they are seriously lacking. However, I've found that premium, bold decafs do not have watered down flavor. Both nicotine and caffiene are vasoconstrictors.
