Nicotine base smell?

Hi everyone. How many of you have nicotine bases that has a certain smell to it. Im new to DIY and my nicotine base quite literally smells like rubber. If you do have some that smell what base and strengh is it? Is this bad or doesn't it matter? Thanks in advance

So its normal then just not ideal? Don't taste too bad to me but I only vape 6mg. As long as there is no bad side effects which is what I was worried about and I didn't want to be ripped off.

Some people complained about getting mouth sores. I didn't vape it long enough. It's terrible with flavorings. I'm curious which brand you have. It's been quite awhile since this nic was around.
