so I smoked a analog the other day it was just one and quiet honestly it about made me throw up, everything about it was horrible except the buzz. but the reason why I smoked it was because my brother in law left it for me and I love that feeling of the nicotine buzz you get from a cig when you first wake up and haven't had one for a while. am I supposed to get a buzz like this with e cigs? is my nicotine level too low? thanks Logan

Its really not the nicotine giving you the buzz. Its the lack of oxygen due to carbon monoxide cutting oxygen off to your brain.

Most of the 'buzz' you get from a cig after going a long time without one is the lack of oxygen to your brain. The lack of oxygen is what gives you that lightheaded sensation. After you smoke that first cig, your body adjusts to the lack and no longer feel that sensation.
I'm kinda glad I'm no longer starving my brain of oxygen so I don't miss it much.

This is correct, the buzz is lack of oxygen.
Most of the noticeable effects of nicotine are in the withdrawal symptoms. That's why I think most vapers end up on a slow chain vape cycle which just keeps nicotine levels topped up to avoid that.
I got nic buzzes all the time when I smoked. It was always after being with out for a long time, as in first one of the day, after work, etc. vaping, not so much. I think it does not hit with a spike like regular cigs.
Nicotine I'm sure enhances the high.

Very true! A smoker I know was watching me and the way I vaped. He noticed that I would take a vape, set it down for a few, pick it back up, set it down etc..... His remark: you don't let the nic level go down but you don't hit it constantly like one does with a cig.
With smoking, I didn't want to waste a single bit of that cig by letting it burn away. I do notice that when I wake up in the morning, I'm content to lay around in bed for a while.....a long while
before getting out of bed. When I smoked, as soon as my eyes were open I would have to get out of bed and start my coffee then have that first cig of the day. I now know how my hubby feels about sleeping in. I've never been able to before finding vaping.

Exactly right. And alcohol consumption can "enhance" that effect to the point that if a smoker has been drinking enough to become intoxicated, a hard smoke can literally make him/her pass out because of the alcohol and lack of oxygen.
Not that I would have any firsthand experience with this phenomenon, of course.
Edit to add: I've learned to simulate the "buzz" by taking a long draw on a medium to high level liquid, inhaling slowly, holding it, then exhaling slowly through the nose.

I never knew it was lack of oxygen too the brain,i always thought it the buzz of nic,learn something new every day.
I dunno...I distinctly remember the buzz I got when I first started smoking...it certainly wasn't lack of oxygen...heck, I can hold my breath and get that if I want to.
I vape 6ml all day and a couple of hours before I go to bed I switch to zero. After I wake up in the morning I sit down at the computer to check the news and have my first vape (either dripping or an RBA). A vendor at VapeStock gave me a 30ml sample of 18ml so I've been dripping that in the morning (Ice Tart from Vapor Shark...very yummy). I get a massive buzz from that 18ml...warm and tingly...(less so if I skip the zero nic the night before). After 15 minutes or so it passes.

So I did a little bit of research. Nicotine is a vascular constrictor. So when you smoke a analog after not smoking one for a while, the veins in you body constrict due to the nicotine and you get even less oxygen to your brain due to carbon monoxide. That's why if you haven't had a vape you still get a bit of a high feeling because your veins are constricting!
It also releases a massive amount of dopamine which can significantly enhance the effect.
I remember that buzz first thing in the morning. I never enjoyed it though. It just made me feel light headed and almost sick. It was worse when standing up. If possible i always had my first cigarette of the day sitting down otherwise it was just miserable.
