I don't see American snus as being the same as Swedish snus due to the difference in how the tobacco is processed that result in higher TSNA levels in the American variety.I actually see them as the same product and the same lies and half truths have been attached to all of them. Do chew. dip, and snus have some risk of oral cancer? Probably, but Swedish snus look to have the lowest among along that spectrum of risk, with the risk quite possibly being negligible. Plus the overall risk of mortality with any smokeless tobacco product is likely an order of magnitude less than smoking cigarettes.

The answer is: Other substances in the dip like TSNAs are the causative agent, not the nicotine.Most people say nicotine doesn't cause cancer, but if that is the case, then why do people that dip get mouth cancer? Just curious .
