higher nicotine levels will have more throat hit, it shouldn't be harsh to an ex-smoker unless you're unlucky enough to be one of the few people with a sensitivity to one of the ingredients.
some people detect a slight change in flavours with different nicotine levels, I never did. it's not a huge difference, anyway, some people say the low or zero nicotine level is the more pure flavour, like i said, I never noticed a difference.
some people need 24mg, some people can't handle 24 and start on 6 or 12. there's no way of finding oot withoot testing what's right for you.

Most important thing... remember that with vaping it takes LONGER for the nic to really hit your system, so pace yourself a bit slower, or you will over-nic yourself trying to get something like the instant gratification that you are used to with ciggies.

The first few weeks are the hardest, because your body is used to that instant satisfaction which comes with smoking, unlike the minute or three that is with vaping.

Agrred ^^^^^^^long, slow draws are important with vaping so you can absorb the nic. Also, as a new cig quit, I'd say it's better to error ordering too high of nic versus too low. It seems easier to cut down the nic than trying to add more.

just be careful at bed time, I started on 24mg, and found it harder to get to sleep. nicotine is a stimulant, so will keep you up if you have more in your blood than when you were smoking, and I did. stinkies have a lot more addictive chemicals in them than nicotine, so when you quit the stinkies and replace them with vaping, you still withdraw, and so you vape more.
