Nicotine levels

Hi all,
I have just started with my Twisp Nimbus 55w ( 2 Weeks) And it was suggested I use a 3mg per gram nicotine usp grade juice. Unfortunately this does not give me enough to stop my nicotine craving so am still smoking 4-5 cigarrette's a day which defeats the hole object.
pleases can you advise me what to do.

I'm not very familiar with that system but it looks like a more open draw, that's probably the reason they suggested that low a nic level to a switcher. The problem with that is what you just now experience: not enough nic. Studies suggest newbie vaping technique results in less nic absorption so with a low nic juice, even with big clouds, it's lacking.

I'd recommend to get a juice of the exact same flavor as your 3mg/ml one but with 9-12mg/ml nicotine. That might be harsh (or even unvapable) but you'll be able to mix it down with your 3mg/ml juice to a level you can vape and get enough nic. If you have found the magic mix you can calculate what mg/ml that is and get that juice the next time.

Very good explanation of how to come up with your nic %

Many thanks, you are right my system is an open draw as it does produce big clouds. I will try as you suggested.

One of the problems new vapors run into these days is that most of the vape products on the market now seem to be geared towards big clouds and not so much nicotine. Up the nicotine. Buy another device, a MTL device that you can run 12 mg nicotine with. Upping the nicotine will take the cravings away and help you to put those nasty sticks down for good.

Also keep in mind that even after you get your nic level right in your juice you may still feel cravings. Cigarettes have more than just one addictive substance in them that your body will crave.
YES!! Seems to me that maybe nicotine is almost the least of it for me.
I had one incident early on when I started vaping where I seemed to really be wanting a cigarette. I was dragging on my MTL device hard, using 18mg burning through coils and juice fast. I got nausea and head aches from too much nicotine.
I sat there on the couch feeling ill and it struck me that I had spent the last two days being well and truly topped up with nicotine, more than enough, and yet I still felt like a cigarette.
Later I vaped with no nicotine in my juice and did that for 5 days. Felt a bit flat, no serious withdrawals from it. It was pretty easy tbh. None of that means I liked vaping without nicotine, I like nicotine but I was very surprised that the withdrawals from vaping nicotine paled in comparison to the withdrawals from smoking tobacco.

Hi I'd get some nic shots and add one to every 10ml.I started b4 the silly law on 8mg and never smoked again and I hate the law could loose new people...

3mg is not much, however we need to know how many watts you use it at.
I hope you live somewhere where Twisp is the only option as they are not exactly well-priced products. Last time I looked, they were just taking advantage of their customers. They know it too, big time.
Unfortunately I am restricted as I live in a country town. My unit is a variable 55w and have it set at about 3/4

Oh bad luck. 3/4 of 55w is fairly good vapor, sure, but 3mg is almost certainly too low for a new switcher. In the old days we used <3ml of 18mg. That would be like <18ml of 3mg!
