hey guys new to the rba. been vaping about 4 years. just set up my nimbus on my x6. I get a short fire and then short protection comes on. no ohm reader battery at 3.6 volts. 28g wire 11 wraps around 1/16 drill bit and cotton. what would make it work fir a second then short? tried quad coil twice and both was instant short. seems like im missing something here. any help would be awesome

Hm.. Well my first thing to say would be: Get an ohm reader!

But based on some rough steam-engine.org calculations (check it out if you haven't already) and some prior knowledge (I'm running a similar setup), I'd say your coil is around .4 or .5 ohms (~.9 or 1 ohm each coil, divided by 2). Can the x6 handle coils this low?

When you say you X6 goes to 3.6 and your Tesla to 3.3 I assume you mean volts not ohms. For your own safety you need to stop trying to build a low resistance coil(s) until:

1...You have a working ohms meter
2...You have a better understanding of ohms law than you are demonstrating at the moment. There is plenty if info within the forums that you NEED to educate yourself on before you go any further.

Obviously its volts. If you don't have any helpful advise dont reply thanks

Right, but you were asked what level of resistance you equipment is rated for and you replied with you lowest voltage setting, which suggests to me that you don't understand the principles of Ohms Law.

My advise was helpful......I'm helping you not blow your hand off....but hey knock yourself out, maim yourself.
