Hey all. I really need to find out if you can single coil on a nimbus, and how. I may be able to snag one. I may try duals too but am used to singles and would like to be able to do both... Would it not hit right because of the opposing airholes? Any feedback qould be great as I need to decide soon. Thanks!

Block the offending unnecessary airhole with a toothpick and snap it off in place. Use a nail clipper to cut closer to the chamber so it doesn't look as awful.

When you want to dual, poke the toothpick out from the inside.

True. Thanks. I thought maybe the two holes would work okay with one coil as there is air coming from two sides creating a swirl effect. maybe wishful thinking. its one great looking device. The toothpick would mean boring out a hole too... Hmmm...

I was gonna ask why you'd bore out the hole but of course, too tight a draw!
Ninja edit: Don't bore the hole out of such a pretty atty.

Roll up some mesh and use in place of the toothpick. Will still allow some air through if not too tight but won't decrease or dilute the vapour as much.

The two holes open will work as well, I'd just imagine a low amount of vapour contrasting with the loose draw. Never heard of someone having an extra hole that was unused by a coil so I'm curious about the possible result now... Report back with your findings just for completeness' sake!

I'd never use it with a single coil, but if you get an interesting result maybe someone else would.

Ill let you know. I think it would be worth getting and trying it out. You're probably right though on the air flow and the mesh sounds good. Or maybe a small neodymium ball bearing that wouldn't knock free? Ive toyed with this idea for leaks in air holes before...

Aren't IGOs just pot metal though? I remember seeing the plating chipping off before in photos and a brass colored substance underneath. Probably wouldn't want to expose the underlayer.... I doubt they're actually SS.

Just took a screwdriver to the inside of the cap and the base of the atty - it's stainless steel.

That's awesome. I could have sworn, maybe I was thinking of one of the AGAs... I stand corrected. Hope I didn't cause u to scratch urs up unnecessarilly.

That makes me feel better as I love these and just ordered 2 more. I like knowing what I use is high quality.the second I received had messed up threads on the connector and both terminals. It was unuseable.
