So I went to a local B&M shop and picked up a Nitecore I4 charger. Went to validate it, not something I normally do, and it said it was not valid. I paid $23.99 for it.

Should I call the international number listed, take it back or just use it?

normally I wouldn't care but I want my batteries to charge safe. Minus the validation issue it appears to be 100% Nitecore.

Thoughts?

Quick way to see if it's a knock off is see if a magnet sticks to the bar that the lower connector slides on. Originals are made of brass with a coating on it so it will not stick to it, Fakes it will stick

Will do the tests. I understand that systems aren't fool proof hence my question. Thanks for the info will check and report back.

Just tested it no magnetic properties on the slide at all. Looks to be genuine. I figured it was but hadn't seen that page Nitecore website. Thank you!
