Nitecore i4 charger issue

Okay, i have my nitecore i4 from FT, the v2 i suppose because it has the yellow tags and says nitecore instead of sysmax.

Anyway, it was my second time using it and i was only charging a single Efest 2000mah 10A v1 18650 battery on the far left bay, all of a sudden the far right bay's LED started blinking (all three lights) and then just now i plugged in the charger and the far right bay's light is still blinking but there are no batteries on any of the bays.

Anyone has encountered this or know why this is happening?

The bay that's blinking the three lights is shorted for some reason. In other words, there's a direct connection between the positive and negative contacts for the battery in that bay.

Is the battery backwards?

It didnt have any batteries charged on it since it arrived. It just started blinking while im charging my 18650 on the other end.
