OP: i posted this in your other thread, but it's probably more appropriate here...

I don't use an Nitecore, but i've always heard that they are good chargers...
This is a little off topic, but since you bought a Nitecore and seeing that going mech may eventually lead you to Sony VTC batteries, i'm fairly sure you'll want an answer to this as well.
I was at a venders site looking at Sony VTC4 and noticed the following note: "Note: For safety reasons, we recommend customers do not charge this battery in Nitecore Intellichargers. We highly suggest users only use xtar brand chargers that are compatilbe for this type of battery as xtar's can handle the charging load. Please reference your chargers manual to ensure compatability."
Does anyone know why a Nitecore shouldn't be used for VTC4s? This is more out of curiousity than anything else because VTCs are very popular and I happen to use them as well...
because some people believe retailer claims. these claims are B. O. L. O. G. N. A., BTW.
my nitecore i2 and i4 charge my VTC4 cells just fine as evidenced by my custom doohickey and DMM.
in stark contrast with vaperev's claims, the nitecore chargers actually do charge each cell individually. this is evidenced by the fact that i can put LiMn (4.2V @ full charge) cells in any bay and NiMh cells in any bay (1.5V @ full charge) and have accurately charged cells @ the proper voltage for their corresponding chemistry when the charge terminates every time.
here's a prior conversation on the topic... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/batteries-chargers/552330-vaperev-nitecore-i4-sony-vtc4.html
vaperev is talking out their rears to push a different product. why? i could only speculate. i don't know for sure. i know not their incentives.
