NiteCore question

I have recently got a Digicharger D2. It works just fine, but it charges the batteries s l o w l y. I've got three 18xxx batteries, 2 490's and a 350. One of the 490's is several weeks old, and the other two are close to but less than 6 months. All three are AW IMR batteries. What is the average time to charge them? I have a NiteCore UM10 as well, and it charges them a lot faster.

I have the d4 and its 3 or 4 hours, maybe up to 6 if i am doing 4. I just have multiples so i always have charged ones ready, and can do recharges when i'm home and awake.

I'm lucky if my batteries increase 2 or 3, maybe 4, tenths of a volt after 6 hours. I just might give NiteCore a call tomorrow and see if this thing needs some service or something. Thanks for the reply.

Ouch that doesnt sound right at all. I put my D2 away months ago because I got funky readings on my multimeter after charging them, turned out was my multimeters fault. Ive been using it for the last month now and still have no issues with it. Tonight I threw 2 of my Samsung 25rs on it, both were around 3.5 and within 3-4 hours both were back up to 4.2v and taken off the charger. Sounds like you just got the luck of the draw and got some faulty chargers. It happens, not often, but it does happen..

That dont sound right. Are all the contacts clean on the batterys and charger?

Both sides of all three batteries and all four contacts on my D2 are clean. I have figured out why the UM10 charges faster than the D2; the former charges at 1A, and the D2 charges at 1/2A. I believe I have shortened the life span of the batteries by depleting their charge too much. They still work, but their 'fuel gauge gets to E' very quickly, less than an hour. The 134 mini is resting in its' case for a while, I'm glad that I have another clearo, which I kind of liked better anyway.

My D2 takes about 5hrs to fill up a 3500mah 26650 that I depleted to 3v by accident.

when i charge my aaa eneloops on my nitecore i2 they get quite hot. this doesn't seem right to me. anyone else experience this?

if a battery gets hot using a specific charger i would stop using that charger until i contacted the manufactuer about the problem. hot batteries are NEVER good. good luck.
