Is CA the only state who dont have their heads in their butts on the E-Cig issue?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the State of California did indeed have its head up its you-know-what . . . it was the GOVERNOR who managed to inject a bit of sanity and reasonableness into the e-cig issue.

True... thank you, Governator (I say, VERY relieved, from LA)! Unfortunately, his reasoning was based in ignorance, as he referred to electronic cigarettes as "tobacco products". Fortunately, with his veto of SB 400, there is now time to educate him (as well as all of the ignorant representatives in the state legislature who voted for the bill) as to what electronic cigarettes really are.

Meanwhile, this is very upsetting about NJ  :-x

He better if you intend to challenge authorities. Just let TV know ahead of time so we can see the YouTube of your arrest.

Your personal semantics won't win a court vindication for violating a law.

I disagree. Many cases (criminal and civil) are won, precedents set, laws modified and repealed based on semantics. In fact, law is all semantics.

You're a bit late BigJim... they already did. 38-0. No discussion.

Ahh, I missed the date of the article I posted.. Have some personal matters going on that's tossing me out of the loop lately.

So now NJ, the smelliest state in the nation, with the Medowlands smelling like a pile of horse dung airdropped in the middle of a swamp, passes bull**** like this to further pollute the air further and put vaporers at risk.

I personally think NJ should be abolished as a state. I never did like NJ, and it seems to have a crop of ignoramouses running it.

If any of you are a resident of NJ, I feel bad for you.

Further proof of the insincerity of these groups. By forcing vapors into a designated smoking area they are forcing non smokers to breathe second hand smoke. The proof is before us all. This is not about public healthy it is about control.

Until a legitimate, government-recognized lab conducts thorough tests and determines, 100% conclusively, that e-smoking is safe, none of us will ever successfully be able to stop the government juggernaut against e-cigs and the right to vape in peace. And even if such a test is conducted, it will require a HUGE media blitz to even hope to begin to reverse the damage done so far to the e-cigarette industry.

The writing is not only on the wall, people. It's painted in 6-foot tall, bright neon orange lettering: "vaping is doomed."

But if e-cigs are proven safe, all of us who will have been forced to stand outside among smokers, breathing in KNOWN TO BE DANGEROUS second-hand smoke, might just have a legitimate court case on our hands.

Taking our concerns to the legislators is pointless. Every time a law-making body in this country meets to vote on e-smoking legislation, they enter into the process with their collective mind made up. No amount of letter writing, phone calling, or web ranting will affect the foregone outcome of these sessions. The war on e-cigs is in full swing, and we are losing. Badly.

So let's all shift our energy to securing test results that support our belief that our hobby is not harmful to ourselves or others. Armed with that, we can move forward with the only thing that gets results in America:

A lawsuit.

No I don't think vaping is doomed, I think the handwriting is on the wall and the government has positioned vaping where they want it.

It's slowly being positioned as a tobacco product. Include them in the anti-tobacco legislation and tax them to death. NJOY is positioning for the new world order. We will have non-refillable cards of tobacco or menthol (for the time being) flavors that will not be permitted in doors, in your car, in your home unless you live on a minimum of 5 acres and have no minors living on the premises.

The government will be happy, the antis will be happy, and the $$non-profits$$ will be happy. Will WE?
