Yeah just confirmed it with a buddy who may/may not actually make it (he's a flakey one, that @Humbardy), we're gonna be going on Sunday. Probably not gonna hang around extensively, but maybe will scoot around for a couple hours or whatever, see what's poppin'.
No doubt, what kind of atty do you primarily use?
I have never been to a vaping expo of any kind. If i have absolutely no use for new e liquid and have no interest in competitions of any kind, is it still a worthwhile trip for me ?

Are there going to be new innovations in hardware on display ? I am mostly interested in batteries and better performing plug and play devices geared toward non-subohm vapers ( thinking about taking a couple of my smoker friends ).
Honestly I don't know yet, this is gonna be my first convention/expo. I'm hoping there's gonna be some new hardware there, just things I have not seen yet or mods that are changing the game. Although I preordered a CloudMaker Whiteout SX, my father's birthday is coming up in early August and he quit smoking of 40 years by vaping, and I know he wants a VW mod, so I'm going there to see what's up

My Doge 1 is my daily driver, I'm probably gonna bring along my Doge 2 (which currently has a non-functioning build in it -- ohms out to like .07 so it's completely unusable) so I can potentially throw a functioning build in it.

Might also bring along my Turbo RDA, which I've never even attempted to build on.

No doubt. I had a doge v1, sold it and got the v2, shouldn't be too hard to build something to fit in there. A buddy of mine has a turbo, the build he has on it is comical - it's like a 22 or 24g 5 wrap around about a 4-4.2mm bit

Haha yeah I'm not a super sub-ohmer by any means, my lowest build is on the Doge 1 at about a .55 (14-wrap or summat). I used to have .3's back in the mech days but that's long gone, kind of about the "lots of surface area" jawns.

@nyiddle if you go to their website

Vape Expo 2015 | New Jersey

you can see a listing of the vendors that will be there. Seems like the vast majority are juice vendors, although some hardware names I do recognize is Aspire, Vaporshark, and Dovpo.
Hmm, i really would like to try Aspires Triton tank, but unless they're giving away the tanks for free, that is not reason enough for the time and expense associated with the trip.

The Triton tank is super cheap as is, what's the msrp on it, like $29? And $7 for the RBA coil head?

Me too, my builds usually come out to about .25, I guess that's super subohm but they're all N80 fused claptons mostly with huge surface area. I have a dotmod Petri RDA..you'd think its hard to max out the surface area on it, lol it's not..my current build is a 26g fused Clapton wrapped with staggered 34/36g..8 wraps on a 2.5mm bit. I'm all about that surface area

I went yesterday, it was great! Super deals on juice, hardware, batteries, etc., lots of giveaways and samples. Around 5:00, they had to stop allowing vaping in the convention center when the Bd of Health came and started giving out fines. I saw posts that said that at 6:10 they made an announcement that everything was ok and you could vape inside again. By then, we had left.
There were far more juice vendors than hardware vendors. It was a haul from Long Island, but definitely worth the trip!

Honestly Sunday was a wash. I got there around 5, and they stopped letting people in, claiming to be at capacity. Vendors were packing up. People were standing outside, some drove from PA but didn't get in. Luckily a nice vaper gave me their wristband and I got in.
I had a few things to buy. A regulated mod for my dad's 65th birthday and whatever deals I could get my hands on for myself. In the chaos of everybody leaving the vendors prices had dropped super low. I got 2 IPV4's for $100 total. I got the full Sour Batch juice line for $15, and finally a Hobo v3.1 for $55. I wanted a Kennedy but the flawless booth sold out of them on Saturday.
Overall, with the prices I paid for the gear I bought I cannot complain. I didn't even pay to get in.
Met some cool people towards the end, builders like me. But way more "known" on Instagram and social media. I gave these away to a couple lucky vapers:
