Hey guys just another post...and a word on these njoy ecigs every1 seems to love so much...as do I... I've heard some controversial things about them in terms of how "healthy" they are for you (if that is even an applicable term in this scenario), but I noticed on the information sheet they include in the case thingy it comes with, it says *warning* do not exceed 10 puffs in one hour... and I'm thinking, man I take atleast 40 puffs in an hour...I talked to a friend about it who is actually a nurse, and she looked into it and said you shouldn't because there is some kind of harmful ingredient in it that isn't good for you. I'm not sure how true this is because I could not find anything about it. But if anyone has any info on that I'd be interested to know, As I know they are quite popular, and one of my all time favorite quick pickup e-cigs.

I'm the same, there's no way I could only take 10 puffs an hour. I think putting a "dosing" suggestion on their label is asking for trouble. As far as what your friend said, I think he/she is misinformed or at least the person your friend asked is just shooting in the dark. What ingredient would they be referring to that is harmful?

Vaping is orders of magnitude safer than smoking.

Whether or not it is harmful to any/some degree is not yet known. Your nurse friend doesn't have any more information than the scores of people here do. Probably a lot less, honestly.

I support regulation because I would like to know exactly what is in the juice I vape, so I can make more informed decisions about what I am putting in my body. But for now - It's not smoking, and that is so much more than "good enough"

The problem with Njoy and other cig-a-like manufactuers is that they attempt to attribute an equivalency between vaping and smoking.

They use some formula (usually pulled out of a monkey's behind) to attempt to equate one e-cig to a pack of e-cigs.

If they equate 1 cigarette to 10 puffs, then they can equate 200 puffs to a pack. And then market the unit as lasting the same as 2 packs (since the battery is good for maybe 400 puffs).

This is the same marketing BS that memory companies used to pull when they tried to tell you how many songs you can put on a memory card, and in the small print they told you that they assume a 3 minute song at 56kps Windows Media file.

Same mumbo jumbo.

Vaping is not the same as smoking. Some of us take just a few toots, some of us chain vape. The only concern you MIGHT have is Nicotine Sickness.

This is usually a problem for vapers who are using EXTREMELY strong e-juice > 24mg/ml. If you chain vape that stuff you can start to get Nicotine poisoning. (Headache, dizziness, nausea, etc)

The strongest Normal N-Joys you can get are usually 18mg/ml.(1.8%) You will likely run the battery dead before you run the risk of overdose on these units.

N-Joys have recently released their King "Bold" and King "Gold" line. These appear to have 40mg/ml and 30mg/ml strength in them. (4% and 3%). I imagine these bad boys kick like a mule, and I doubt you would be able to chain vape these puppies without experiencing something.... I can see why a 10 puff per hour recommendation is suggested for these bad boys, they pack a wallop!!!!
