Hi all,

I'm new here and a budding e-cigarette user. I've got a lot of questions, but I'll start with just a couple. What type of device (i.e.RN4072) is the NJOY pen type cigarette? I've ordered their starter kit but would like to find cheaper carts and maybe some juice. E-smokeytreats has better prices on the carts and also sells e-liquid, but I need to know if I can use their carts with my NJOY cigarette. Also, how many times can the carts be re-filled with juice? Thanks in advance for any guidance you all can provide.

Hi Kim--Njoy is an 801 or an RN4072. Do not bother with prefilled cartridges as they are a waste of money. You can get Blank cartridges form www.JuicyLiquid.com and e-liquid from many places. Blank Cartridges can be refiilled about 3 days before you need to wash them or replace the core----------Sun

Thanks for the quick reply, Sun. So I guess I can just use the carts that come with the NJOY starter kit and drip fill them with fluid. Are the cores you are talking about the cotton-looking stuff on the end of the cart? If so, what do I replace them with? You'll have to pardon my ignorance about this stuff. I haven't recieved my order from NJOY yet so I'm not really sure what any of this stuff looks like.

Yes, the core is the cotton candy looking stuff.

No apology necessary, by the way...you've asked a great question...

...one I wished I'd asked when I first purchased my NJOY pen style. Could have saved myself some money by not ordering the prefilled cartridges. You might find the blank cartridges to be a bit of a waste too.

I think the best advice I received in that regard is to replace the filler material in your starter cartridges with Poly-fil. A 1 lb. bag will cost around $3.00 and you'll have enough material to refill cartridges a long time. Your only expense then is whatever e-juice you decide to vape.

There's a slight curve to learning just how much poly-fil to use. I quickly discovered (from my use of both pre-filled and blank cartrideges) that there seems to be no uniformity in how much filling each cartridge has so it's probably better that you pack your own cartridges the way you like. As the density effects how well your juice vapes, you quickly learn how much you like to use.

Another factor to consider is how much you vape. You might find yourself going through cartridges rather quickly. Much easier (and thriftier) to keep poly-fil and juice on hand than to constantly worry about replacement cartridges.

This all sounds really neat. I'm glad someone asked this question. So what do we buy, the cores, is that what their called. I'm not sure if I'm understanding correctly, I better read again I guess. I have lots of that polyfil stuff from crafting, I'm assuming thats what your talking about. So can I use the used/empty carts I have already and refill the little core with the polyfil? Thanks for your help.
