This is my first post in this forum, Sorry if this is the wrong spot for it but it seems I'm limited to the new users forum blah blah blah. Anyways, I bought 2 used e-cig's off a friend maybe 6 months ago. They're the Njoy-Npro (from 7-11), I believe its the RN4081??? Not sure though. I've heard nothing but negative reviews about them. In my experience, they've been pretty dang good for me (no battery problems whatsoever), I guess its a 50/50 chance on getting a decent one and getting stuck with a crap one, with the exception of the carts which are killing me.

My first question is, it seems like the atomizer is non-removable. I keep getting a burning taste, I've checked for fiber in the front of the atomizer (from what I can see without disassembling it). Now when I was pretty new to the e-cigs, I burnt the hell out at least 5 or 10 carts. I've never cleaned it in the 6-8 months of having this, how can I go about cleaning it? I've got denatured alcohol and 98% iso alcohol (hard to come by). I'm hoping that I can clean the atomizer and that may take care of some of the burning taste.

My next question is about the carts, like I said before, I've burnt plenty of them. Then I realized I can get e-juice locally from a dude who sells it. Got that and started refilling my carts. The problem with that is, I would fill them completely up, to the point where I'd suck a little into my mouth, then I'd take the cart out of the atomizer, shake it to get rid of some excess juice and it would be great. But after literally 10-20 puffs, I'd get the burning taste again, pull the cart cover off and sure enough, I could see a black burnt spot even though the entire rest of the cart material is completely saturated. What the heck is the problem with it burning? I really actually like this E-Cig with the exception of the burning carts.

Everyone says 'just get a new one, that ones junk', well I would if I had $50-100 to drop on a new e-cig but I'm not in that position right now. I can hardly pay my damn phone bill! And with the price of my dip pushing $4.30 now (it was 50cents 4 years ago :\) it really saves me a whole heck of alot of money and my girl hates me dipping and loves my cig, when it works. Please help!

I used the RN4081 for awhile. If you really want to use your carts your best shot is using blue foam as a filler.

Not long after I started using it, I made a box mod and eliminated the battery altogether. The batteries back then didn't work worth a darn, but maybe that has changed. If not, they aren't hard to make. Battery Mods
What works best with the atty is dripping. If you haven't tried it, give it a go.

I also believe they make Cartomizers for the model now. You might give them a try.

And welcome and good luck.

Is that a cart or a cartomizer (RN4081 has both)?

If it is a single piece that screw right onto the battery and holds juice, it is a cartomizer aka carto (not cart) and yes they burn if you don't keep them damp with juice. And they also are DISPOSABLE - they do not last forever. I can get a week or more use out of a Boge 510 carto (on 510 and Rive 510) with juices that have 20% or less VG and are light and clear.

If it is a cart, carts suck pretty much. That doesn't really look burnt - more juice stained - I look for light color juices that are clear and leave no flavoring sediment behind. The polyfill can singe. People who use atomizer + carts usually find carts can be improved with blue foam stuffing.

You really can't expect better performance from the model you have. I would chalk it up to a good learning experience and get a good beginner model such as the E-Power or the Riva 510, preferrably the E-Power which will cost you much less overall for the same performance.

e-Power

always an epower or some mod that breaks the bank with you... serious the person posing the question doesn't always want a darwin or e power.... get over yourself...not everyone has your financial resources.. like I said other day.. read the op and think... you might be surprised that you don't know anything :)

OP - what juice - What is the PG/VG of the juice and What do you mean by fill

Thick juices (high VG juices) soak in badly and don't move through stuffing fast enough to keep most cartos from singing.

As for fill - for a 1ml carto, 18+ drops (per ml of capacity of the carto and most cartos the size of a cigarette filter are 1ml) and then wait 20 seconds or so, then however many more drops it will soak up eagerly, while holding a tissue against the threaded end hole - a bit leaking out the threaded end hole does not mean you are done filling. Then you clean it up well. (and for me, with a carto with a defined center air channel, cleanup is - dry/clean the threaded end, tilt open end down into tissue, blow into threaded end to clear air channel, touch a bit of soft tissue to the top of the stuffing while the open end is still down to get loose liquid). Then you lay it on different sides to let it settle. That is when filling a blank.

For topping off, I usually add juice when the carto is about 1/2 empty which is when I usually notice the taste/vapor is lighter or the carto is getting unusually warm. So I am usually adding 7 to 10 drops though occasionally less, same method as above, holding a tissue on the threaded end. The carto is still damp so the thin juices I use soak in easily. I stop as soon as a drop take longer to be soaked in. Then I clean it up. No settling needed since the carto was still damp when I added juice. I never run a carto dry. I never put thick juices in them.

You have automatic batteries so you have to worry more than most about carto leaks. Auto batteries are most susceptible to being damage or killed by juice leaks.

One inexpensive upgrade - for your existing system - a manual RN4081 battery from AZSMokeFree. it should have a totally sealed threaded end on an Rn4081 manual. Safer from leaks and easier to get a good hit.

A fat battery model that is inexpensive and good - the Riva Lite Bundle at Liberty-Flights.com only (only they have the 3.7v kits) - press the 20% off and the while 2-Riva kit is under $30. But some Boge standard resistance and LR cartomizer blanks and a 510 drip tip (and if it is a plastic or delrin drip tip then it should also fit on the cartomizer as a comfortable and easy to remove mouthpiece - take it off to add juice).

If you want a mod - 3.7v box mod is least expensive and several people in Buying and Selling (mods and accessories section) make and sell them. Another option would be an Epower which is bigger and uses bigger batteries. There are many other mods.

Its a single piece that screws right into the battery. I guess its a cartomizer I guess? Well the thing is, I'd refill it and 5 or 6 puffs later it would burn, I even tried just plain saturating it, enough so that it pulled juice thru when I sucked on it. I only try to reuse the cartomizer 3 or 4 times max.

Once burmt always burnt. As in once that burnt taste is in there, it will always be in there. The burnt taste cartomizer is trash heap now.
the nJoy cartomizers are decent, but a pain to open, since they weren't intended for that.

Ive been useing The Better Way To Smoke - RN4081 Cartomizers, the blank ones.
I've also been useing an adapter so I can use 510 cartos on my 4081 bateries.

The adapter is between 2-4 dollers, and blank Boge 510 cartos can be found for as little as 6 dollors.
I just wish someone in US would sell the 4081 boge in std resistance :/

njoy are great... its cheap.. pop off plastic cap, wash filler under hot water, drip fav joose and replace cap n its vape heaven with 4081 so called " crappy " njoy...

btw I still use my njoy to convert hardcolre smokers who do not want to live beyond their means.,.... :)

You have a real attitude problem to go along with your lack of experience and knowledge. When you have been vaping for more than a few months and have actually vaped on more than one or two small battery PV's, maybe your posts will get better although I doubt it with your attitude.

Saying that the njoy is "great" says it all about your experience and advice. Telling a new person that the mall and truck-stop PV (njoy) is "great" does not help the OP or any other unsuspecting new person. Gee, I wonder why you don't see multiple other posts from experienced vapers telling new people to go out and get an njoy because they are great. You are not helping with that kind of "advice".

Note: Since when is $42 for an E-Power "breaking the bank"? You are not helping a new person with misinformation like that.

Thanks for that. I just started vaping and use Njoy. I refill mine, but was unsure how to clean the filler. I will recommend the device to a friend of mine as a starter :)
