I just got a Npro today...I know that njoy says that you shouldn't refill this model, but from what I read, people do it anyways. What tools do I need? Tweezers, syringe, etc? Are these necessary? Do I need blank cartridges, or can I reuse the ones that came with it once they are empty? If I can reuse them, how often do I need to get new ones?

Also, are there any istructions (or instructional videos) out there that are specific to refilling an Npro cartridge? I would really appreciate any help.

These are step by step instructions I read from 'Blue Knight Max' from another thread:

1. Using a paper clip, I bend it straight.
2. Insert into hole and push out white cart until it is flush with the top of the outer cart.
3. Using tweezers, pull out filler (stuffing or whatever the hell it's called) and wash it out with running tap water.
4. When clean, tap dry with paper towel.
5. Drop liquid into empty cart till it's about 1/2 way full.
6. Insert cart filler and soak it in the liquid a bit.

oh...how often should i be using a new cartridge? Like, does the filling get old and need to be retired eventually, or could i just reuse the same one forever?

LMAO I'm guilty of using the same one for a month... I always kept it moist using the same e-liquid mind you.

But you can use the same one over and over give it a rinse once a week or whenever you're changing e-liquid. When you notice it's not soaking up the juice like it used to , start a new cart or toss the filling and restuff it. There's a thread on here about restuffing ;)

I read somewhere that the peewee atomizer from puresmoker.com will work with my Npro...is that true? I want to get a spare, cause everyone says its a good idea, but I want to make sure that this one is compatible with the npro.

Actually, after typing all that, i realized that the peewee atomizer is out of stock...are there any other atomizers out there that would fit the npro?

PeeWee will fit the NPro (which is actually the same as an RN4081). You can find atmoizers for the RN4081 several places RuyanDirect.com is one of them but they are based in China so it may take a while for shipment.

Hello All
I bought NPRO and am having problems, It seems the cartridge only lasts one day, no smoke when i draw on it, I am frustrated and have spent time adjusting on the necessary "draw", i even thought the battery was dead so i switched to a freshly charged one, what am i doing wrong?
Thanks,
I can't wait to get the vaping down pat "-)

Windsong,
Perhaps your cartridge is too dry, and sometimes your wicking material is a little too far up into the little holder, not making contact with the atomizer bridge mesh. Try re-inserting it after pulling the fibers down a little way. Don't twist or turn it in, push in and pull straight out. (If you're not refilling your cartridge with juice, try to find one you'll like, much cheaper than buying pre-filled ones!) They can be re-used, washed out occasionally if they get sluggish, and you can buy new carts if they need replacing.
Always use long, gentle puffs with a well-charged battery, you should be getting a very good amount of vapor. Make sure the battery and atomizer are firmly together, with no wetness or debris in the connection....clean and dry.
My first PV was an NPro, I loved it, but cart was too small! But it is a very good, effective device.

Hi Kate:)
Thanks for the tips, i did pull the fiberstuff out a bit.
Is it normal for the "filter"/cart brown holder thing to heat up?

I am sitting here with the NPRO following your directions,:p I do hope i get it to work i am into this for $120 bucks already

You'll get it! I did, and I didn't know about ECF yet for a few weeks after I got mine. I drew too hard, the juice popped into my mouth all the time, I puffed too many times and the battery would go blinking.....I didn't know anything, and the directions were a little vague! My face hurt so bad, I was just puffing too hard. (Panic??) Looong, nice gentle puffs, only enough to light the led is needed. If you hear gurgling, that means you've 'flooded' the atomizer, unscrew it and blow from the thread end to clear it out, make sure everything is nice and dry, screw it back together firmly. Then practice long gentle puffs some more. When you lose vapor or sense a 'burned' taste, it's too dry. Never never never blow into it from the tip, you can get juice into the battery and it will burn out everything! Yes, I did that too...BAD THINGS: empty or dry cartridge (that will burn the atomizer out), puffing too hard(that will pull too much liquid out, floods the atomizer), not letting battery charge fully(won't make nice vapor), blowing into mouth piece to clear out the gurgling noises(that will burn out EVERYTHING, including the battery and the atomizer!).
Just try to relax with it, if your juice is high enough nicotine for your needs you will be comfortable. If not high enough, you will be trying to puff like crazy to get more. You can adjust the nicotine level if you feel you need to. Too much will make you groggy and kind of sick and woozy.
Either way, when you find your comfort level, your Panic will subside, you can relax and come to depend only on your e-cig.
You will still be jittery or HUNGRY (I was starved!) and you will be thrilled when you can say "I haven't had a cigarette in three days!" That's when I told my husband I'd spent $80 for an NPro! (That was just the beginning, lol!) I'd smoked for 44 years, 2-3 packs a day, depending on how long the day was. That was really dumb.
It took a couple months for the jitters to go away, but it was not bad, and I just stayed away from the Fridge, it's a withdrawal thing.
Be sure to have extra batteries, and a couple atomizers, and some juice on hand, it helps to relax a bit...those things are the "consumables", they do all go bad in time, buying juice to re-fill your carts with 4-6 drops is much cheaper way to go than pre-filled ones. And yes, the cart will heat up, maybe just space your puffs a little farther apart, that will help, but they do get warm. You don't want the cartridge too full, looking puddled, that will just flood the atomizer and you pull juice into your mouth, on your lips. Just wet, not dripping wet.
Take them out of the cartridge with a paper clip for refilling, the little container comes out, and you can see how too much you're putting in. Before putting it back in the mouth piece, make sure there isn't drops of liquid inside because the vapor will pick them up and out they come into your mouth, blow it out or wipe it dry. That's all there is to it!
Best of luck to you!

You're welcome all, but just sing out if you have trouble, there's a lot of good helpers here. This isn't for the weak at heart, I don't think! Not quite as easy as a quick pack of cigarettes at a gas station stop. But I heartily think it's well worth the effort. (Yes, and the money too!)
Really the major thing is to keep calm as possible, because Panic is not good when you're trying to stop smoking, be ready ahead of time for equipment burnouts and supplies. It's like you have just had a new baby and need to pack the diaper bag again. Without forgetting the baby! It can seem never-ending, buying things and trying to anticipate what you'll need and then coordinate everything with pay days. Worth it.
Another thing is to know kind of what your body will be telling you....try to drink lots of water and as much high anti-oxident things you can find, tea, or cranberry and apple juices, extra vitamin C can help with withdrawal, also increasing your fiber with lots of fresh veggies and low-carb stuff on hand...I told you I was starving to death, just a bit of jittery high energy and a huge appetite. Deep breathing exercises as well and all the power walking you can stand. Try to put a daily limit on your vaping, but do feel like you can give yourself some time for all that. Main thing is to master the new equipment, re-charging etc...it will all fall into place. They can all be cantakerous.

Hi,
I'm a newbie to the forum and just ordered my first e cig kit. I went with n joy's npro after doing alot of research with starter kits, not to mention I didn't want to spend a ton on my first try wtih an e cig. I plan on using e liquid since saving money is one of the factors to try e cigs. I purchase a 60ml bottle of tobaco flavored e liquid, but now reading that you don't get a true tobaco flavor like analot cigs, can I add some type of mint OR.... flavor without damaging the atomizer? I ordered the VG carts and will purchase some vg to probably cut the high mg e liquid I purchased. I will be asking alot of questions and appreciate any help I can get... I really want to get away from my many years of the analog cigs! This forum is great and filled with tons of info if I can just find my way around to get info that i'm looking for. :)
