I am probably to late but to address a few issues,
Gurgling sound is to much liquid in the atty(A little is Ok but not to much). Remove and blow through the threaded end hold paper towel up close to the end. Repeat until it is clear, also you can leave overnight on paper towel big hole down to drain.

Cleaning, it self cleans every so often and has a burnt sulfur taste but six or eight puffs usually clears it up after primer is gone. you can remove the cart and blow through the LED end for 4-6 seconds, you will see a little smoke come out the end. Do not over do this, to long and it will burn the atty up. After a while the smoke will decrease until it is very noticeable if the burn clean approach does not satisfy you soak in Coke or Dr Pepper for two hours, rinse throughly with water blowing a few mouthfuls through both ends. Blow dry through little hole until no more wet sound. Attach to a paper clip and use a blow dryer for several minutes. Use a damp paper towel to remove from clip and cool down. It will need at least two drops of primer now and a full cart.

juice gets through into mouth. remove the cart with paper clip wipe the cart off. Using damp paper towel twist inside of cart until it reaches the bottom and throw away the little round fiber inside the tube. Reassemble and draw slowly. There are two different type atty that N-Joy sends out, new ones in plastic and others. Some have bigger holes on the threaded side and allow a much easier draw some are small hole that a paper clip will not even go through. The smaller need a very light pull or it will suck juice through the cart.

A cart only seems to last about three ciggs worth for me, (about three to five drops of liquid) and then it begins to burn the filler material and begins to taste like burning vegetables.

It takes some work to learn the device but it vapes very nicely if the atty is up to par. I have a DuraC and use each one about the same amount. They have a different taste and draw even with the same liquid and each produce an equal amount of smoke. My N-Pro actually has a cleaner taste and much easier draw then the duraC, if only the batteries lasted as long. I have purchased three more batteries and two more attys and none seem to work as well as the N-Pro parts but the batteries are at least usable.

I like em both about the same and carry them both to work.

Sorry I'm so late in responding.

42109... You're right - there's definitely a big learning curve with the NPro and the cartridges are high maintenance. I think I'm slowly working it out. I've learned to draw a little slower but deliberately. Honestly, I was so afraid of the liquid shooting in my mouth that I wasn't pulling very hard and probably wasn't heating up the atomizer enough to do it's job.

Shadowdr... I followed your detailed instructions and it helped tremendously. I thank you for being so explicit.

I'm still not totally liking the taste of the carts but at least the putrid taste has (mostly) gone away - either that or I've adjusted to it. The liquid in the mouth has all but disappeared, which is a great relief. Now I just need to go looking for some better tasting carts or get some blank ones to fill myself.

In the meantime, I've looked into a few other models and I'm leaning toward the disposable 'cartomizer' type such as the Vapor King or the like. Seems to take a lot less maintenance. But I'm not rushing into anything.

Cheryl... did you ever resuscitate your atomizer? I read somewhere on here about soaking it in coke or RC cola for a couple of hours.

Again... thanks to everyone that's offered tips and advice to help me get over the hump. :)

I tried a solution posed by someone on a different thread -- soak in alcohol, then blow out with compressed air. Seems to have resuscitated one atty.

This is a learning experience for us all. Glad to have you on board!

Cheers,

So i just got an npro yesterday (my first e cig) and it was working alright I suppose however it had very little vapor. Now, today, less than 24 hours later im getting absolutely nothing out of it. I dont know if I did something wrong or how/if i can fix it. I spent $75 on the thing and now its completely useless, I don't want to give up on it but theres no chance I'm going to pay another $75 for a new one.

If anybody knows what I can do to fix the problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi csumm, and welcome. :)

Sorry to hear you're having problems. A couple of thoughts:

Does your cartridge still have liquid in it? The cartridges that come with the NPro don't last even close to what they claim, so I'd highly recommend ordering some nicotine liquid so you can refill your cartridges. The nicotine liquid should also give you a better and longer-lasting vapor than the stuff in the cartridges.

Another thing, if you haven't tried it yet, is to use a freshly charged battery. (The batteries don't last as long as the claims, either.)

Does the atomizer get warm when you inhale? If not, you could have a bad atomizer.

One of the good things about buying NJoy products is that they come with a warranty. So anything that's faulty can be replaced.

Hope this helps. The NPro was my first e-cig ... and while it takes some getting used to, just like other e-cigs, when it works, it works pretty well.

Treece

P.S. The other thing I've found is that new e-cigs tend to need a "breaking-in" period. So hopefully, with a full cartridge and a fresh battery, it will work for you. I know it can be frustrating in the beginning, though....

Are you using prefilled cartridges, or are you refilling them? If you're using prefilled, they may have run dry.

Pick up some juice, if you don't already have it, and hit the atomizer with a couple of drops.

Not to h/j the thread or anything, Jim, but I just want to thank you for the great info you so generously give about the NPro/RN4081. You've been an invaluable resource for me since I started vaping, and I appreciate it. :)

My Pleasure.
We RN4081 users seem to be a dying breed. Not to many people seem to like them. The up side is, with less people using the 4081, you and I will have all those supplies to ourselves.

Hi guys,
Just found out from Jim Davis there was a forum just for the Npro,
I didn't dig it at first coming from a 510 it was lighter vapor harder draw, but after it broke in and I got use to how it works, it's a nice machine, very well designed and built. I'm not using it for juice or dripping, just using it with prefilled carts. Got it out of convenience, I just go down the street to the Pilot and pick up carts, when I don't want to mess with liquid.
Happy Npro user here.. :thumb:

Welcome to the Forum Simon;
Your NPRO is an RN4081 model. NJOY just branded their name on it. You should look into juice so you can refill your carts. Buying carts from Pilot will send you to the poor house.

Check this site. Cheap parts and supplies. They're coming direct from China, so there will be about a 10 day delivery. Well worth it, for the price, and service is outstanding.

Alright, for those who have read the thread 'Disgruntled' under 'OUTSIDE', you know about the shipping issues. Well...they still have not sent it out.
So, I called em up, cancelled the order and will be getting a refund.

Anyway, Thanks to a fellow forum member, gep, I found out about a place that sells ecigs locally. I picked up what they had. Which happened to be the Njoy Npro. Well, I've had it for about 2 hours and I'm not having any problems. Plenty of vapor. I'm all set! And I'm now officially an ecig user! Glad to be aboard!:D:D:D

The Njoy Npro. I don't know why it gets such a bad rap. I think it might have alot to do with the Customer Service more than anything else.
The rn4081 is a Sherman Tank!!

Hold on to as many spare attomizers that you can because they are very resilient. The best attys i have experienced as far as dependability/longeveity are concerned.. ;)

I have a .... load of attys in my stock pile, and this one is 4 months old now, and still going strong. I should be good for a long time.

I started with the Npro. I really wanted an ecig that looked like a real smoke. Not sure why now. I rather enjoyed the carts that were included, but they were a pain to refill, and would often drip into my mouth after each drag. I bought a 510 about 3 weeks ago and love it. Haven't touched my Npro since.
I had set mine aside also until I did a boxmod for it. This thing is sweet, holds at least as much as the 510's but has a much better taste then the 510's and 401's with the exception of my Janty Dura. She is a real workhorse that never fails to deliver a cloud of smoke and real flavor of the juice. I found that the auto batts caused the draw to be harder then necessary to light the LED resulting in juice getting into the cart holder. Biggest mistake I made was changing the stuffing as nothing is better then the original.

I need to look into a mod for mine. I decided to take it out with me today. I stuffed it with some poly stuffing and I was pretty impressed. Not as many leaks, but I still find myself covering one of the two airflow holes for a bigger hit. That might just be the result of becoming use to the vapor my 510 produces.

It could also be that the atty is just not one of the best of the bunch. I received two replacements when the first N-Pro died, both were different. One came in a sealed bag with a cart and one was just loose. The loose one worked but not very well and the other IMHO is better then a 510 and uses a lot less juice so that it actually smokes longer then a 510. I carry a 401, 4081 and 510 mods with me to work and the 4081 is always the last to go dry even though it only holds about 5-7 drops same as the the 510. If all I had were regular batts, I would probably be smoking instead.
Look at the Nicostick mod in the forum, it is easy and you will love a two day battery that delivers a constant, consistant hit.

Thanks for the info on the mod, Shadowdr. Hopefully it will fix some of the issues I've been having with it. It would be nice to have a reliable back up to my 510 at work, especialy considering it's short battery life.

I've been a devoted follower of the 4081, but I'm getting sick of all the crap with parts. I just had my second passthrough die. The DSE103 batteries seem to work the best.

I'm in the process of making my own manual passthrough, and next I'll make myself a nicostick. Both will take the 4081 attys. I get good hit and vapor from them, and my atty is over 4 months old now, and still going strong.

So, I'm going to build my own power sources, but I don't care what anyone says, the 4081 attys rock!
