I would love to have one of these as well, but haven't seen them on EastMall's site or anywhere else for that matter! Where have you seen them - I love my 801 and that would just add to it's perfection. BTW - I got my 801 from Eastmall and I love it! Great quality and so far it is my favorite of 4 devices (510, 801, 808, and 901). I am placing another order to have these in bulk backup!

It's my understanding that a number of vendors have been unhappy with the quality of recently manufactured 801 passthroughs. A while back I ordered a manual 801 passthrough (not from Eastmall, which didn't have them at the time) and it was of absolutely lousy quality. It was sending excessive voltage to the atomizer, which was producing 'burnt atomizer' taste no matter how much juice was available to it -- a bizarre problem that I had never before experienced with a passthrough! Also, the exposed metal surface of the USB plug had some epoxy dripped onto and completely hardened on it! Terrible quality. If Eastmall received any passthroughs of similarly poor quality, I would not be surprised if they decided not to carry them until the quality has improved!

Before then, auto passthroughs I got from Eastmall and other places were fine. But the manual-button ones -- terrible...

They were available from Eastmall 3 weeks ago. That's when I ordered mine. It hummed a high pitched *weeeep* when used and had a nasty tendency to become 'stuck on' after releasing the button. If that happens I gotta pull that thing out to prevent it from frying my atty. The replacement Eastmall sent me had the exact same problem. Probably a bad batch.

just about to place my first order of all sorts of 801 stuff, and didn't notice any pass thrus on the site.
am I just missing them, or do you not carry them?

thanks!

Sorry for the trouble, we have returned the 801 and 901 Manual passthrough for improvements , but our auto 901 passthrough is great and it is the same for DPV9 PASS. :)

Cheers

Hi -- I realize this question isn't about 801 passthroughs but I hope you'll indulge me for a moment here. :)

I bought several 510 passthroughs because, on seeing that device for the first time, I was immediately concerned about the possibility of those very thin wires breaking. I don't know why Joye makes that passthrough with such flimsy wiring! Further, the reqirement to use the in-line battery seemed like a non-feature to me, compared with the (auto) 801 passthroughs I have. I realize that the battery can be used for a while when the passthrough is disconnected from the power supply, but in my experience it does not hold a charge very long.

I got one of the Puresmoker passthroughs and while it delivers a decent amount of power to 801 atomizers, I am concerned about what it might do to 510 atomizers. I am not using it with the 510 right now.

So: is there any hope at all that the industry in China will develop a better designed 510 passthrough that is not fully dependent upon an additional in-line battery, and that has much more robust wiring?

(It's also a bit bothersome that the 510 passthroughs do not have a proper "strain relief" at one end of the in-line battery box, even though they do have one at the other. What a peculiar omission.)

Thanks,
Mike
