Yes, but you're a nice person, Ginny. You know there are always that ten percent who ruin it for everyone -- that's probably the reason for the ban; not that nice normal people would cloud the place, but that the idiots and {Moderated} would cause such a problem, they have to ban it to everyone.

Not that I agree, I think it's a stupid policy, but the world is filled with stupid people, and the stupid ones who would blow massive clouds in a restaurant are the ones that really caused this. Oh, and the even-more-stupid ones who think vaping and smoking are the same thing.

Thats the same thing I thought of when I seen the picture of the sign. Some idiot or idiots had to go in there with their 500 mega watt mod and blow mega clouds while others were eating. Even tho second hand vape is not harmful, having a cloud settle over your table while you and your family are eating is disrespectful just the same and shows a total lack of common sense.

I remember when I felt the exact same way about restaurants that banned smoking. I'd say "that's it I'll never go back, plenty of other places to go".

Look how well that worked out. I really showed them. lol

Actually my wife and I use to go out to eat at least 4 nights a week. When all smoking in restaurants was banned around here maybe 6 years ago we stopped going out. Now maybe once every 3 to 6 months will we eat out. I know a few couples that are the same way. Now they are trying to ban smoking in bars. I no longer smoke and my bar hopping days are long gone but I understand and agree with the bar owners complaints about the loss of business they will suffer if these bans are enacted.

Out of curiosity I am wondering if its just wishful thinking or have others noticed that people are starting to rebel against political correctness?

Was watching the local news recently and New Orleans enacted a no smoking in bars ban. People who proclaim they didnt smoke was highly irate when interviewed for the camera's about once again big brother uncle sam had to stick his nose where it wasnt wanted.

If this was a local ordinance, enacted in New Orleans, how exactly is this the fault of "big brother uncle sam"? Was it tied to federal funding in some way?

Also, I don't think you understand what politically correct or political correctness means.

Let me see if I have this right:

Here, within our own vaping community, vapers are being chastised, ridiculed, and scolded by other vapers for some perceived notion that we expect to be able to vape everywhere and anytime we like,

The reasoning provided as justification for such argument is non-vapers rights and/or desires to go everywhere at anytime without being subjected to vaping.

Some look for a middle ground.

Some seemingly expect all or nothing.

If we can't come to a common ground on this board, what hope do we have beyond the board?

Tell ya what, walk down Canal or Bourbon street and ask them yourself. Thats what was on the news.

As for Political Correctness, what some wants us to perceive it as, and what in reality it really is, is two vastly different items. Just like people being told in America that they can not fly or show the American flag because someone was offended by it. Yet what about all the people who was offended by that proclamation. People are being told they cant do this and they cant do that and it is political correctness behind it. To me it appears others are starting to rebel against it.
