i got the johnson creek sample pack and have been disappointed with the the flavor.. the only one i can even taste is the apple cider one, and i'm unfortunately out of that one now.. i have heard a lot of good reviews about several flavors in the sample pack, so i'm beginning to wonder if perhaps it is something that i am doing wrong. I'm using a regular ego battery with a mega atty and mega cart.

Hardly unique to JC. The line of flavors I've found best is Totally Wicked's premier range. It claims "pharmecy grade" nicotine and PG, mixed with natural flavors. I can tell the difference. I can get it at 36 mg. Well worth the extra money to me. I balance the cost by keeping my tobacco flavor cheap, as tobacco flavor are an acquired taste no matter what you buy.

How long have you been vaping?

If you only have a few weeks, it may likely be you own taste buds are still dormant or only partially recovered.

Personally, I can't taste vanilla yet.
I have a 2x bottle of straight vanilla, and damned if I can taste a thing when I vape it straight.

I can clearly taste many other flavors fine w/ no problem.

And some days, you can't taste anything so well.

Today is one of those days. Juices I normally vape daily today are flat and lifeless.

Just the way it goes some days, I wouldn't come to any conclusions about the juice being faulty just yet...

It seems weird- and I wasn't entirely sure I believed it really!- until I had one of those days a week or so ago. Yep, literally nothing had any flavor except like harcore cinnamon or minty flavors. Can you taste your other stuff?

I think the basic JC sampler is 100% PG - I've been happier with blends. It seemed like all of the JC juices had an underlying taste that I didn't particularly care for - IDK if that's because it's all PG or if it's a base flavor they use. I just gave away the sampler pack after trying them. Although I did keep the apple cider (I thought it was the best in the bunch, too), and ended up mixing it in with a batch of spiced apple cider from Tasty Vapors. It still worked out OK since I gave them away at work where between me and a friend there, we've converted 5 or 6 people in the last few weeks, so they were happy to get some free samples :)
