Using a riva 510-t for the past few days. All has been great, but all of a sudden this evening im getting no flavours at all :-(

I've tried 4 different juices, spanned across 4 new tanks (2 old and 2 brand new ones) and on 2 atties.

Im well confused.... all was fine and was loving my watermelon flavour, now Im just getting plumes of chemical favoured smoke (very faint but noticeable, almost completely plain flavoured) on one atty and a light burnt flavour on the other..... Surely they didn't both go bad at the same time?

Im filling my tanks just above 3/4 full and keep them topped up and I put a few drops of juice direct to the atty before changing tank.

Please help as I can't stand this taste and I really don't want to find myself going and buying a pack of analogues after a full week off them!!

It might just be your taste buds playing tricks on you... It happened to me before and lasted for a few weeks, as well as a lot of other vapers in here. My advice is to vape other flavors then after a few hours try your watermelon again..if you still can't taste it then give it a day and try it again. What I do is vape menthol liquid when I experience that because no matter what you'll still taste/feel the coolness of menthol :)

P.S. Don't go puffing on your atomizer every 3 seconds. After one or two 5 seconds drag give your atomizer a good 30 seconds before puffing again... Puffing continuously without pause will surely give you a burnt taste and most probably kill your atomizer.

It's one of the joys of quitting smoking -- your taste buds are trying to recover. :)

What I found helped me when I had taste bud issues was to drink a lot more water, to brush my teeth more often, and if those things didn't bring back tastes, I would put about a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar into about 10-12 ounces of water and drink that. If the water doesn't help, the mintiness of most toothpastes should, and the tangy-sour vinegar was my last-ditch effort (and never failed when the others did).

Buy a menthol juice and vape it whenever you experience that. It might also be your all day vape...who knows? :D

Im not really a methol kinda guy! I was delighted to have have my all day vape after only trying a few flavours! Watermelon is my all dayer and I dabble with RY4 in the evening after work. I have a tobacco flavour called hilltop (which I can now taste btw! still very weak though!) that I use occasionally, its not great but easily get me through those 'fancy a cigarette' moments! got another 6 flavours on the way to, hope I get to taste them before they run out! (only 5ml sample bottles!) lol.

Thanks for the suggestions as well, I tried a mouthful of vinegar earlier, nearly turned my face inside out but unfortunately didn't help! Haha

The 510-T battery isn't up to the task of driving a low resistance atomizer. 2.5 ohms is about the lowest you can use. I'd invest in an eGo-T battery and experiment with various resistances to find the one that gives you the best flavor.

Most fruity juices don't work well with higher current (wattage). Still, if you are getting weak taste, try some other juices in the same flavors from different suppliers to find the one you like.

That, and dehydration will kill taste. Drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated.

Drinking coffee or soda (any carbonated beverage) will totally wipe out my tastebuds. The mints and strong tobaccos are about the only flavors that I can taste after drinking these. Drinking plain water cleanses your tastebuds, so that the full flavors of your juices shine through.
