My kids got me a $50 Amazon gift card for Father's Day, which was awesome. So, I ordered an ultrasonic cleaner - something I'd been meaning to buy for a long time and just had never gotten around to it. It arrived yesterday and when my wife saw me unboxing it, she was quizzical, wondering why I had spent my Father's Day gift card on such a thing.

I proceeded to explain to her how great it was for cleaning jewelry, eyeglasses, watch bands, etc. She praised my unselfishness for buying something not solely for my own benefit. She was even more pleased after running some of her jewelry through it.

Later in the evening, she walked into the kitchen and noticed the little ultrasonic cleaner whirring away. Curious as to its contents, she opened the lid and discovered a bunch of RDAs and drip tips. She looked at me, shook her head, and walked away muttering "I should have known".

No fooling them haha, not even my girlfriend. Every time a box comes, she automatically assumes something vape related. Not always the case, but the majority of times it is :p She shakes her head, says "As long as you're happy" and carries on. She doesn't do vape, but supports it. As long as it keeps cigarettes out of my mouth and my lip without dip she's supportive.

It's YOUR Fathers day gift...... Why would you need to justify it. Would there have been an issue if you had bought a fishing pole or new shoes with the card???????? I think you and your wife need to learn what SELFISH means.
clearly you're not married *lol* *currently at least* :pervy:

yeah I've had more than a couple of those "it's for me huh?" moments with Ed ..that's for sure:facepalm::lol:

 to clean tips!! :vapor:

We do most of our shopping online and don't really exchange gifts cause we buy so much crap for each other that it would just be like wrapping another thing that got delivered.. Maybe that's your issue order everything online and your vaping stuff will just get buried in the pile. Sometimes we open each other's packages. She'll be like wow, I got a.. What is this? It's a turbo. Oh I got a turbo! What's it for? A car.. Yay I'm gonna go fast! Or I'll open a box of dresses and proceed to attempt to put them on the cats.

when my wife complains about the amount of things
i have such as tools or chess books and, vape related
stuff and,why do i need so much i just explain its
simple math my little rose bud.
i take the amount of pairs of shoes you own.
i divide that by three.the resulting number is
the total amount i can get for my entire life.
i will be getting stuff for a long, long time.

Relax... my post was simply intended as a humorous anecdote.

I mean, after all, my wife totally understood why I purchased a pair of $25 titanium scissors to cut my wicks from the Koh Gen Do cotton pads she thought I purchased for her to use.

Lol I was just asking my gf to invest 150k into a setup so I could make my own everything. When I was in college i used to make car parts that I needed as my assignments.
I have worked with metalworking machinery (lathe, milling machines...)
Too bad, I do not have access to them now. I think making a mech mod or two could be a fun. I do not think I'd have a fun using them, but making...

That's very funny and it sounds like something that would happen to me.

I can't wait for 3d printing to become affordable
You can get the cheap ones for about $1000. Dremel sells one for $990. Still to pricey for me to pull the trigger on but they'le go down eventually

Well there are cheaper, but most have bad reviews.
