No logic in the ban

Christ, I don't often use the word, but this is madness, how can you ban safer e-cigarettes but still allow the normal cigarette which contains the nicotine and a listof other cancer causing substances as long as your arm?

This is like banning a seat belt on a car because you might strangle yourself with it, or banning crash barriers on a racing circuit, because you might harm yourself if you ran into them?

Are these people sane?

It is $$$$$$$ everybody is buying into the FDA's bull about safty but it is about tax dollars. We can fight to prove the e-cig is better or safer than analogs but it all gets down to the tax money that our goverment is not collecting from us smokers. When they decide how to get the tax from e-cigs they will be happy and the e-cig will be ok to use

Yes, all while the Federal Reserve (a private company) has lost (stolen) $27 Billion dollars. And they don't want their books examined? Of course they don't. All the payoffs to other countries and dirty handed deals would be exposed. They will simply start yellinig that it would be a matter of "national security" if they opened their books for inspection. Watch what happens... :sneaky:

It's perfectly reasonable logic if you think life a crook. Support this ban and with our revolving door policy, we'll place you on the board of xyz pharma co. with a multimillion dollar signing bonus when you retire from CONgress. Or we'll not reveal that incident with the midget and the watermelon.... remember? Or you won't get reelected since we'll be contributing to your opponent instead of you this election.

As for being sane, that one is up for grabs. On some level they must know that MANY will die unnecessarily. Then again, they don't have to see the victims of such legislation, or they can at least try not to think about them. Somehow these folks sleep well at night. I guess my point is, everyone has their price. Maybe sanity is inversely proportional to the amount you have sold out your fellow man.
