Well my first order is still sitting in customs in Vancouver, Ego mega 510 with accessories and juice... My second order, came in today, Yay! It was not what I ordered (we will see what comes of it it):(. Any way, I got a ego with empty smart carts, I blew out the atty, grabbed my 36 mg No flav (vapables.com, had it over a week before I got my Ego), mixed it with some VG and some pg and some peppermint extract, dry burned my atty twice for maybe 15 sec (I chickened out before it got red),dripped some on the atty, filled the cart, made a mess, took a hoot and.....blew out a sh.....uhh..A whole lot of vapour..it did taste weird/awful.. so I mixed up a 60 vg and 40 pg (nic) and added some Lorannes watermelon, dripped that on the atty, slapped in the cart, took a hoot and decided i do not like watermelon..If did like watermelon, it would of been awsome!!! But I'm pretty sure I hate the crap!!! So I mixed up a batch of Wintergreen, I think I over filled the cart, sucked in a bunch of juice, got a little light headed, emptied, the cart, filled another, dripped some on the atty and.... it still tastes like f*#kn watermelon . ..... But all in all, even though I'm smoking an analog as I'm typing, once I can get rid of the watermelon taste I may be hooked! I'm going to go switch the atty now..Happy vaping!!!

Try soaking the atty in PGA or strong vodka (Aristocrat 100 proof works pretty well) Some people also use vinegar to clean out flavors. Mouthwash or denture cleaners work well also, but can leave a minty taste on the atty..not a problem if you like minty. Strong flavors like menthol, mint, clove and some fruit flavors like to take up permanent residence in atomizers. Most vapers have dedicated atomizers for flavors like that. You might want to try some premade flavors in different strengths to see how they are. You can usually pick them up pretty cheap in the classifieds section of the forum. Or you can look at the pay it forward thread to see if anyone is giving any away.

Good luck and don't be afraid to ask questions. We all struggled a bit at first. Just keep at it and you'll find your sweet spot.

Yeppers on the taste sticking to the atty. Another try is to just put a few drops of plain old VG on the atty and vape that till the watermelon is gone. It works for me but as ctourtelot states some flavors can, in fact take up permanent residence on the atty. That is until you clean and burn. Watermelon doesn't seem to stay there for me once I have done a VG rinse, so to speak.
If there are flavor concentrates that you have and don't end up liking them, put together a package of the items that you don't like or don't want/need and Pay It Forward in the DIY-PIF thread. Just type PIF (all caps) in the search and you will find the PIF thread and the sub DIY-PIF. Good luck!

I wouldn't dry burn your atty yet, you might burn it out. Dry burning is usually done to clean a buildup of burned juice on the atty, which shouldn't happen when your unit is still new. Sure hope your order gets out of customs soon. When that order does get to you, try blowing the primer out of the atty first with the threaded end away from you so you don't blow it into the bridge. Be sure to order spare attys. New attys have primer on them that tastes awful. Blow out your atty, prime it, vape that mostly off without inhaling, let it cool enough to blow it out, reprime.

And yeah the rinsing may help - the tube is so long that aromas hang around even after blowing out. Dry and reprime w/ juice and wait a couple mine for that to get to the coil.
