Congrats. I was a 1 PAD 20 year smoker. I did notice that as my buds healed, my flavor needs changed. I don't throw much out, I just toss it in the stash box and drip it every now and then to see if I liked it again. I started to DIY my juice so I can whip up a batch of 30 mL when I get to the half mark on my favorite juice. Right now it is the Jello Monkey recipe I got from tc2. Good luck and keep pushing!

As i am writing this only 2-3 hours and the 2nd halo tank is Leaking.. Cap is on and filled to .7! I am not pulling hard very lite and steady? I blew it out till no more let it sit about 20min and tank went to about .5 just below the wick and a wet spot on the paper towel and it seems to be wicking it self out?

Seems to be a top coil tank; it should not leak if you keep it upright.

In my happy place
The Halo tanks are crap IMHO. I ordered them in the past and then found the Kanger e-smart. They work well with the G6 batteries just a little bigger. I got a 5 pack yesterday and tested all of them with no leaks that the Halo has. e-Smart clearomizers - package of 5

The Joyetech Ego-C is going to be better overall. I like to use the G6 when I am out. I leave my EVOD in the car and have the G6 in my pocket.

I just discovered the Elego Bottom Coil Clearomizer (BCC) Mega. Picked it up at a local B&M and I must say... Not a drip, gurgle, sputter, wet battery post... nothing. Tons o' vapor and the flavor comes through like a champ. I currently have it on my VTR. I go through much less juice with it as well.

Ba da da DA daaah - I'm loving it!

Thanks and shout out to Rob at Pioneer Vapes!

Welcome to ECF, and congrats on quitting the stinkies! You made a great choice with the new set up on the way. As for liquid that tastes like analogs, there isn't really anything that does, and that's a good thing. As your taste buds come back to life, it's possible that you may wind up not liking the taste of analogs. I was a pack a day, to a pack and a half a day smoker for 16 years. I didn't quit smoking immediately when I started vaping, but I did cut back to around 2 cigs per day, an each one started tasting worse then the last. When I finally stopped smoking that one or two cigs per day for a couple of days, I tried one more cigarette out of curiosity. It was so nasty, that I couldn't finish it. If you feel the need to find something that is as close to cigs as possible, I would recommend getting only a small bottle. I also recommend looking into NET, Naturally Extracted Tobacco.

Words of wisdom indeed. There aren't any juices that taste exactly like burning an analog, but many that have notes/tastes/characteristics that "remind" you of burning actual tobacco. There are threads here on ECF that discuss and rate tobacco flavored juices, very good reading. I was a 40+ year smoker who stumbled upon "vaping" and simply preferred it over smoking, haven't lit one up since. In the beginning I spent hundreds on straight NET juices only to find I preferred tobacco-fruit/flavor mixes. I also found I need variety as my taste changes throughout the day. I now have many flavors in my steep-use rotation. Complicating things a bit, tobacco mixes generally taste best after steeping for a week or two. My opinion......sample many, re-order larger quantities of those you like.

Congrats on making the switch. I am only going to say one thing, and that is look into carto tanks or even better, rebuildable dripping atomizers. That may seem like a huge leap, but for all the time, money, and gear I've gone through, nothing ever worked for me as well as dripping. It's something to consider as you begin your vape journey, but for me dripping has been the most hassle free and consistent vaping experience I've had. It can seem daunting, but with a little bit of research and trial and error, it's the only way to vape in my opinion. Carto/carto tanks get a mention because if you get your hands on a good tank and carto setup, you'll be getting the second best vape money can buy. Again, my opinion only.

hello all!

i see good tips here, and not to congested...so i do have a question..i started vaping this week..Mon..4th day w/o analog

Did you get the plastic mouthpiece option for the protank2? I've found the metal irritates my lips; I wrap plummers tape on it.

Yea, I noticed the Halo tank when used laying down is when it leaks and when you pick it up from laying horizontal and the liquid is trapped up by the wick it leaks. I am worried about the leakage and my battery?

Congrats !

Once you find your setup and especially your liquid, you'll probably not wanna go back :)

In 1ML of the halo Juice i need to put .3 of VG in it the flavor comes out less harsh. I will have my Joyetec, Tanks, & NIC solution here by Tuesday flavor Friday'ish. But would like to try no flavor first.

Congrats CP, a few short months ago I was in in your place, just starting off. There is a steep learning curve and it can be a trying journey but this forum can make that journey successful. You'll probably have good days and some bad days but in the end it is so worth it. Stay strong, you can kick these.

Few years back i Quit for 5 years cold turkey everyone around me hated me for a few months so far so good! Just got to get a system that works for me. The main reason is I Ferry Aircraft with Auxiliary Tanks in the Cabin = No smoking for 10-18 hours at a time.

You dont want to smoke with that much High Octane Fuel... And I hate Chewing Tobacco. I have also been told that e-cigs are illegal in other parts of the world but cannot find a definitive list?

So according to Halo their tanks are Useless as you cannot let it drop below .9 which is .1 from full. But, got my Joyetech Ego-c and my nic liquid and some flavoring... have a Hazelnut loaded with the tank they give, I love the draw 70VG/30PG going to mix some 80/20 up see how that works. I May even try a 60/40 and 50/50. I have not loaded a t3 yet but plan to once I get a mix I like.

Dear Steve,

You are not supposed to let it drop below .9. That could damage the coil.

Have a great day,
Omar with HALO Customer Service

Woot Woot!!!! Go you!!!! Congrats and keep up the good work!

A fellow last night let me hit off his "drip" setup. That really hit me like the old analogues did, but I don't know how it would mesh with flying as you do have to keep adding drips so you'd have to take your hands off the wheel a lot ( or an airplane's wheel-equivalent, lol) and your eyes off the road/sky.

I found a decent set of 10ML Bottles Cheap they are the harder plastic PET and the caps Stay On anf i got them in about 2 days I am on the West Coast.

I am enjoying my Joyetech Ego-C using a T3S Tank and the Ego-C Tanks? Like the Draw from the factory tanks but the T3S Seems to have a Better Flavor. Now I Just got to get my flavoring down! Using wizard lab's Flavoring well I am mixing 10% then went to 15 and 20% Using 30PG and 70VG I have some Ez-sweets coming to try and make it sweeter.

I tried an experiment and went 50/50 seems better on the flavor?

Any Advice? I have been reading the DIY...
