I found if you "chain vape" the wicking can't soak it up fast enough. Try extending the time between vapes. The chest thing is normal I guess. It happened to me and it takes some time for all the crap to be expelled from the analogs. That won't happen overnight. Keep it up. Nowhere to go but better! Congrats on the Big Quit. Don't let it beat you, you're better than that.

The G6 is a solid unit. I find the mini tanks work well on them. Halo is running a discount on them right now. 20% off.

I bought the mini tank from halo, but after 2 refills now I get a burned taste even with a full tank. Did I do something wrong?

Hello fellow New Jersian and Halo user! I recently just quit smoking myself with the Halo Triton system! Love it! It does take a bit of getting used to versus analogs but coming off a pack a day, I haven't smoked a single cigarette since I got it. One thing I noticed is you do get a bit of dry mouth with vaping. I started drinking more water to counteract it. I was never a fan of the cig-a-likes so I decided to try the "eGo" or since it's Halo, "vGo" setup and it's helped me IMMENSELY.

Definitely play around with Juices. I don't know where you're located in Jersey but I found a neat local shop in Milltown (central NJ) called Jersey Smoke. The owner, Frank, vapes a lot and is very knowledgeable. He has a ton of equipment and juices in his inventory and is always happy to chat and recommend new things.

I have my first Variable Voltage battery coming in next week from Halo and I'm excited to see what happens when I can adjust the voltage of my battery. There's SO MANY factors to consider in vaping. The PG/VG ratio and Nicotine levels can greatly affect how your vape feels so mess around with some combinations til you find something you enjoy.

In my experience, the chest discomfort comes from your lungs adjusting to the fact that you aren't destroying them anymore. You'll be coughing and hacking up all the nastiness you collected while you were a smoker but afterwards you (should) feel brand new :)

I started with tobacco flavors but now I'm experimenting with sweet or fruity dessert flavors and I really like them. Normally I carry around both my Tritons. One filled with a tobacco style liquid for when I really crave an analog flavor (coffee, after a meal, while drinking) and the other I fill with a desert flavor for when I'm just relaxing and want to vape something delicious without that harsh tobacco taste.

Hope this info helps!

Thanks so much for the info. I am in Englewood, although right now I am on a business trip in the Caucasus Georgia.
Difficult to get e-juice or clearo's/cardo's here, they only have the cheap disposable Chinese ecigs here. I have with me 5 cardo’s and 2 clearo’s and allot of juice. But I have the same issue with 1 cardo and 1 clearo, no matter full or not I still get a slight burned taste, did I ruin them?

BTW today is day 4, no metallic taste but still coughing and congested chest, and yes you are right about the dry mouth. But I haven’t smoked a single analog in 2 days.
I saw the triton tank system, but it didn’t have an automatic battery so I got the g6, I still prefer the automatic battery over the manual cause it is more like the real thing.
The g6 78mm size is also good, I don’t think I would like to go longer then that. Again I am looking to smoke with least amount of effort.

Totally get the simplicity thing. Getting off cigarettes tends to put a person on edge, and having to fiddle can be irritating. If you're getting a burnt flavor out of a cartomizer it's toast. Once those things burn they're done. I still favor cartomizers over tanks most of the time. Take the plastic end off the ...., and replace it with a drip tip. You'll get a better draw, and can top off the cartomizer with more ease. Not sure about doing a dry burn on an automatic battery. Your lungs wouldn't like it, and it would taste like burnt poo. Try washing the tank with hot water. Then drop it in a cup of vodka and soak it overnight. Clean it with hot water again and load it up. Can't promise that it will completely fix the problem, but it might. You're doing really good. Two days without a smoke is great!

I've been looking into it and apparently the G6 Tanks burn hotter than the Triton tanks so that may cause the burning taste although many users report certain juices work better with G6 Tanks. (I believe the clearer juices seem to work better based on user comments)

I know you're looking for the feeling of "the real thing" right now. As was I when I tried quitting on e-cigs my first couple times. But if you're chasing flavor and enjoyment out of the experience I'd still recommend trying out an eGo/vGo set up. It's not much different from yours. The battery will last longer and wicked atomizers taste really damn good.

I currently have a Variable Voltage battery from Halo coming in the mail that will allow me to adjust the voltage of the battery at the bottom so I can make the vapes cooler or hotter depending on the juice. Pretty excited to try that although that battery is quite long.

I am going to try the vodka overnight thing and hope it will fix them.
Weird that not many Ecig's and Carto and clearo's on ebay, so I can't get international shipping.

Regarding the Halo Variable Voltage you can only get it in manual battery that is why I didn't get it, I use the auto and keep the manual as backup.

thanks for the awesome advice

New member here. First post. Smoked a pack every day since I was 17, about to be 28 this year. My friend got me a Vision Vtox BCC Express Kit for Christmas. I started off with a 60/40 PG/VG strawberry flavor and 12mg nicotine. I have not had a regular cigarette since the 28th of December, nor have I had one iota of a craving.

I will say, I was probably the most dehydrated I have ever been the first 2 weeks. I of course started drinking more water, but I also switched to a 20/80 PG/VG, which seems to have helped out as well.

Now if only my wife was as receptive as I was..

Welcome! We have a similar story except I totally just went out on a limb and decided to order my first vGo out of nowhere! I have yet to experiment with PG/VG ratios. I'm getting a lot of juices coming in the mail this week but they're all going to be 50/50 I suppose on my next orders I'll try more VG since I'm currently also have very dry mouth. I heard more VG means more Vapor as well so that's always fun.

Gotta say I'm tempted to build one of those crazy "cloud chaser" mods as a novelty. Something to have fun with at home. Those Philippinos on YouTube are CRAZY with it.

I recently gave up the coffin nails for some sweet, sweet vape myself. I think the initial congestion is your lungs getting rid of all that crap they've been dealing with for the past decade or so. I have absolutely no scientific evidence to support this claim, but I went through the same thing myself. I dealt with morning hacking fits for the first week or two, but after it cleared up, I don't find myself coughing in the morning, or being winded after short periods of physical exertion. Stick with it, you'll be happy you did!
