HI all,
I just registered on the site, I bought a smoke tip ecig becuase I wanted to try it out to see if it was even close to the real thing. Well I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. After lurking on these forums for a few days, I have realized that I will probably be getting a better ecig as I get into this more-maybe an e-Go :)

Anyhow, I have been a pack a day smoker since I was 13, now I am 35. I figure it is time to stop. Between 3 kids, and the cost of cigarettes, it is not practical to keep smoking, even though I love it.

Great site and I look forward to contirbuting whenever I can.

I do have one question, I fly alot for work, what are the chances of me puffing on one of these on a long flight to L.A.? Without getting tossed off the plane and making the news?? Anyone have experiences with ecigs on a commercial airliner?

Welcome to the site! Im also new here but have been vaping on and off for awhile. I jumped into vaping when it first started getting popular on the states, and the equipment back then was terrible compared to what is out there now-a-days.

I have used e-cigs in theaters, restaurants, an indoor concert or two, and have never had a problem. Only one time was I approached and told I cant smoke here, but as soon as I explained what it was, they looked so confused, that they left it at that...lol

I honestly don't think you will have a problem. But I could be completely wrong.

I would certainly give it a try, and maybe even be a little discreet about it if you know what I mean.

Let us know your results if you do try...Good Luck :)

Regarding smoking on a plane...

Back in June, I flew with my children to Israel. I'm in Los Angeles, so I flew to New York Kennedy airport, then on to Israel via El Al.

I vapped out in the open in the Chili's restaurant at LAX, and nobody said a word to me. On the plane, I vapped in the rest rooms, every hour or so.

Once I landed at Kennedy Airport, I had a five hour stop, and again vapped out in the open in the airport. Nobody even asked me a question, and I KNOW airport personell saw me. They didn't seem to care.

This is MY experiences, and obviously, it probably has been different for other people. I chose NOT to vap out in the open on the plane. Just didn't want to risk starting anything. However, vapping in the planes bathroom, while not nearly as pleasant as if I have vapped in my seat, helped get me through a (return) 16 hour flight without going completely crazy!

Good luck!
