Well, I have been off analogs for over 3 weeks, a miracle to say the least. I was a 3 pack a day Marlboro smoker for over 30 years, and stopped after my first VK vape.

My lungs are finally clearing up, I didn't have to use my asthma medicine when I got a cold. I can sit through a movie at the theater without dying for a cigarette, (even left a few pictures to go out and smoke).

But, the absolute best thing is that I no longer have to go to the Bad parent section!!! This was where all of us parents walked away from whatever event was going on (cross country meet, soccer game, track meet, school dance, and etc.) and went and had a cigarette. Usually hiding around some corner where we would not be seen.

My daughters, mother, husband and friends think its a miracle too!!! I tried everything else. I tell everyone!!!! I love my VK and will never have an analog again!!!

PS, sorry for long post, but I don't post much and really wanted to get this out. pss... still can't figure out how to get the VK analog quit thing to work.

God, I know exactly what you mean! I didn't smoke 3 packs a day, but yeah! Left parties to go out front and smoke, sneak away from games and events for the kids, run out to the car to have a smoke at work! Been there, done that! Isn't it great? Not only do I feel better, but I am not the leper anymore, and my family is thrilled!

THANKS V4L! And thanks to all the lovely supportive people here who make me smile every day! :D

OMG I know that section! One school field trip I was the only one! I tried patches and everything I even had the school tell me that even though the place had smoking areas if I got caught they would leave me there ( 150 miles from home)
Guess someone raised a stink over that because last year 5 or 6 parents were doing it and they stood right there beside all the kids and flaunted it!

How about people you avoided visiting so you didn't have to deal with wondering if you get a smoke or not.

I used to drive school bus. Did it for 5 years. (Loved it) But anyway I was a relief driver. Covered runs for the normal route drivers if they were sick or whatever. Plus doing out of town, and over night field trips. Well the smokers and I would hide. Let the kids off the bus (on the trips) step around to the other side of the bus not seen and smoke like 3 cigs before we continued to the destinations. Fought with hotel people for smoking rooms. Or just smoked if they refused to give us one. While doing normal routes. Once the kids were all off bus was checked. We would find hiding spots to smoke. Where other drivers couldn't see us. Pull over and have a smoke. Then head to the next school. Run off campus and have another 1 or 2. Heck I would even get to work early just so I could have 1-2 before I had to go inside. Leave to prep the bus early so I could get down another 1-2.

When I worked at Pilot there wasn't a problem. I was the RGM (Restaurant General Manager) I just walked outside when the smoking ban was in placed.
Auto zone.. I cleaned the parking lot a LOT! And the delivery trucks. LOL I would watch the college kids ask to go outside for a smoke. I just yelled out. When I was headed outside..LOL

I so wish vaping was around here then. It would of made my life so much easier. Not saying I would of vaped on the bus. Would of never done that. But at least I wouldn't of had to hide. Or hear the kids complain that "something" stunk.

Must not have been in California! You watch - within 5 years it will be legal to stone smokers to death! 8-o Really bad here for smokers... made to feel like trash! So glad to be done with that!

Any of you ever been through Atlanta Airport? They have smoking rooms there that look like glass animal pens at the pet store only with yellow tinted walls from the analog smoke and completely hazy air that looks like Los Angeles on a real bad smog day. After having an analog in one I know I reaked like an old ciggie .... when I came out and I'm sure the smell wouldn't ever come out of my business suit without a good dry cleaning. Also I realized a few months ago that sneaking off to have an analog didn't really fool anyone because you smell like smoke when u return.

Yep smoked 2 or 3 in a row waiting for flights!! Never knew how much I smelled until 3 weeks ago, the girls were always complaining but I just didn't smell it until now!!!

Wow, California sounds terrible for smokers, here in Michigan you can still smoke in restaurants, casinos, and the racetrack (where I work). But the smoking sections keep getting smaller and smaller.

No smoking sections here. Casinos are the last place. And they are trying to nail them. But they are only allowed on Indian reservations so I'm not sure if they will be able to touch them or not.

Airport smoking sections do reek. And that is bad coming for a smoker. When I traveled for business I went with 4 other guys from our region. I was the only smoker and would get bugged about it. These guys knew how to lay it on thick. It was ok they only smoked cigar's. And me being a ciggie person was totally different to them. Harassed all the time.

Going to have to do a very deep cleaning in my study. It stinks. LOL no wonder the kids avoid it. I thought they just didn't like being in here. Now I totally understand!

Try checking in to John Wayne Airport (Orange County) and hour and a half early and finding that there is NO WHERE TO SMOKE ANYWHERE IN THE AIRPORT once you check in! Add a 5 hour flight to Honolulu Airport for an hour and a half layover where again THERE IS NOWHERE TO SMOKE unless you want to go outside and then have to go through the check in all over! Then another 20 minute flight! No patch, no gum, no nothing! I just figured I could grab a quick cig just before each flight and would be ok. Should have done my homework because there is not enough booze in the world to erase a nic fit! It only makes it worse! lol Thank God for my VK - I will never be in that kind of situation again! ;)

In the Atlanta airport I think they intentionally don't have any ventilation in those rooms. You would think they would have some negative air pressure to keep the smoke from getting out, but NO. I've been in some stink hotel rooms too but those rooms at the airport take the cake. I think they do it on purpose as a deterrent.

I must be an anomaly. I LOVED being able to segregate myself at parties/get togethers. If I was speaking with a pardon the term "loser" at a party I would say "Sorry, gotta have a smoke." Most people didn't follow. lol I also like being able to take breaks from work - needed breaks due to high stress. Usually breaks were frowned upon. Don't understand how any employer could think breaks were wrong or lazy, but there ya go. So, I wasn't frowned upon for being lazy just frowned upon for smoking. I will miss my social out.

edit: It also kept kids away from me. LOOOOOVE that - not a fan of children. hehehe

You got that right! California is not a smoker friendly State [ but without the cig tax I wonder how much more of the hole the budget would be in!]

It's a vicious circle. They supposedly keep raising the tax on analogs to get funding for child "health" care and who knows what else, (despite the fact that it's a sham in the first place), then when there are fewer smokers they raise the tax more to keep the revenue going. If everyone stopped smoking today most if not all the states and the feds would be seriously hurt from the lost revenue.

Exactly the reason the Feds and Big Tobacco are most likely behind the FDA's push to "regulate" e-cigs. Its always about money otherwise cigerttes would have been outlawed long ago.
