No more free shipping for bare lithium batteries (cylindrical and button types)
In response to customer comments and demands, effective immediately fasttech will stop offering free shipping on all bare batteries such as 18650, 18500, and CR123, and button type batteries such as CR2, CR2012, etc.

You may still order these via premium shipping methods which are usually paid services. Shipping fees for these shipping methods are calculated and presented during checkout.

Free shipping for these items will return when a suitable shipping method becomes available for them.

Thank you.

Shipping will likely vary in price depending on how heavy the package is. I suggest you fill a shopping cart and go to the checkout page to view the price of shipping. I put 3, of the 2 packs, of the Sony 30 amp batteries in my cart and shipping is $21. At that much for shipping, I can probably find batteries cheaper, here in the US.

Pretty much this. I had an order just returned that had those batteries. upon looking at reordering it was better for me to just go with the similar EFEST batteries from a stateside vendor. although the fact that I had to purchase a battery box separate was annoying it was still the better route to go. besides then the batteries can be charged and waiting for the mod.

I've just done a quick calculation, although I don't need any more batteries.

Where I live, I have only found one vendor of 18350s and 18650s. They sell ONE panasonic 18650 for about 50% more than the price of TWO panasonics at FT. Plus, the vendor charges the equivalent of $2.50 for the little plastic case that comes automatically from FT. Even with express shipping at $37 to here, if I buy 2 sets of 18650s and 2 sets of 18350s, which would be a fairly reasonable order, I would be saving money (about $15) over thelocal gouging prices.

I'm not planning to do it until the spring, but at least I know that it is cost-effective...

Obviously, people in the US or elsewhere probably have more supply options. Do the math and buy according to your own best interests.

I guess they are losing money on batteries being returned too often now. I would rather buy batteries from a trusted stateside vendor anyways. It will cost more, but you have a better chance of nothing blowing up in your face lol or not lol.

Haven't ordered from them in a while. The last and first order took 3 weeks to arrive, can only imagine delivery times now. They have tons of great stuff though.
