Has anyone noticed that the FDA's Center for tobacco Products CTP Newsroom has not published any new “news” stories since the middle of January? They used to post several pieces of news each month, but there has not been a single new post since the new President was inaugurated. I hope this is good news for us.

Yeah... It has been Awful Quiet on the Eastern Front.

With all that is going on right now, I think the Last Thing the Old Guard wants to do is to Resurrect some "Save the Children" campaign.

I'm thinking that with the way the new administration is cutting government waste and firing employees, the FDA doesn't want to draw attention to itself. The CTP would be a good target for doge.

I just COULD'NT Believe My Eyes when I saw this...

So... after Millions of Man Hours both by the FDA/CTP and Application Submitters, and After Years of 3 Steps Forward and 2 Steps as a Passel of Lawsuits work their way thru the Glaceratic Legal process over the Span of Multiple FDA and CTP Leadership's, the FDA is (with a complete Straight Face) issuing a Final Guidance on a Critical Testing Component to the SE/PMTA/MRMTA process?

That's how a government bureaucracy works. In an attempt to justify their existence, they take three times as long to do things as they really should take. Also, CTP is bought and paid for by the big tobacco companies.

ETA: I really do think DOGE should look at the FDA and CTP.

If it wasn't something that has the Potential to Help so Many Smokers, and if it wasn't something these FDA /CTP Pinheads have said they have been searching for for over 5 Decades, meaningful Tobacco Harm Reduction, it would Almost be Funny.
