I just wanted to post a quick note to people on the fence about vaping..I started with the njoy and hated it! It almost ruined me to ever try vaping again. Newbies, if you've had a bad experiance, dont give up! Now I'm using the Riva 510 and I will never go back to analog..getting the Silver Bullet next. Thanks to this forum for helping with all the much needed info! Vape on!

I bought a clone of an nJoy npro. Is it fantastic? No. Will I be replacing it with a better one? Yes. What it did for me was:

1) It stopped me from buying a pack of smokes Saturday night (I quit smoking on New Year's Eve)
2) It made me realize this could work for me, instead of Nicotine Gum or the Patch
3) It made me start searching the net to see if it was just me that thought it was less than great

I found these forums, registered and started asking some questions. Here I am on my 4th day of not smoking and about to order a 510, I feel pretty good, and I don't smell like an ashtray.

IMO, if you are not getting ripped off or roped into some "free trial" crap, then you did well, even if you bought a first e-cig you didn't quite enjoy. Think of it as the spark that got you into vaping. ;)

OT @ Cozzicon, Thanks for your videos, I watched your Newbie vids last night and enjoyed them.

I tried an NJoy NPro just to see if vaping would be for me. Yes, I hated it. Then I bought Green Smoke. It was only microscopically better, but it got me looking and I ended up here. The rest, as they say, is history. I watched Mistress Nomad's videos, read everything I could in between studying for my degree. I devoured it all and bought a Riva kit. I wasn't looking to quit smoking, but I did the minute I started using that Riva. I also bought a 900mah eGo and now I have a mod. I'll be getting another mod tomorrow for my fiance (shhhhhh...he doesn't know!)

I can sympathize with everyone here, but my first reaction was very different. The NJoy NPro was my first e-cig AND I LOVED IT. However, I only used the menthol cartridges ... I didn't even try the regular cartridges that came with the battery/charger until several days later. Since it was my "gateway" into vaping, I sort of have a fondness for it even though it is not "perfect". The only reason I wanted something else was because the automatic battery is way to sensitive and it constantly goes off in the car. I now have a 510 and an eGo, and I still find the straight forward use of the NPro very appealing - no dripping, no vials, no leakage .... You just screw on a carto and go.

True. Surprisingly the Menthol that came with mine is way better than the "tobacco flavor" and I was never really a menthol smoker, besides the occasional pack here and there for something different. I am also starting to see that even with my limited experience, that automatic batteries are not for me. I will be looking forward to trying a manual battery system.

I started with the npro dec 27th and got my 510 yesterday. I hated the npro until i started playing with it and e juice. It drips remarkably well and i found if i "ring my finger around the atty/battery joint and fluctuate the pressure you can vary your hit... try it i dont know if i just have a funny one (i have 3 njoy kits because i lose stuff like receipts and their parts fail) i dunno i guess the flavors of my coffee juice taste better dripped in the npro for some reason

I also started out with an Njoy Npro. Fortunately, I found it on sale for a decent price. For some decent prefilled cartos, check out unreal cigarettes. I moved up to an eGo, and you might say there's a bit of a differece between the two. The Njoy has mostly become my shirt pocket pv.

I got my kit and cartos from that site. They are local to me here, so they re-sell at a couple of stores in town. One of the main reasons I bought it was the ability to drive in my car and pick it up when I needed it.

The NJOY disposable made me quit a 2 pack a day 20 year Marlboro red habit instantly. The day I tried it was the last day for analogs and I wasn't even trying to quit.It was freakn amazing!Great TH good taste.I then bought the NJOY pro kit,it sucked. So I bought 4 more disposables and ordered a Joye 510 a wonderful product.I am now the proud owner of the Inferno in every color they have (except 4 pink).I haven't had an analog since 11/12/10.

There's only one thing that can be said about *ANY* and *ALL* pv's out there: They have helped countless people stop smoking the nasty-stix.

Sure, there are some that are better than others. There are some companies with better customer support. There are some that look "cooler" than others. There are some that really suck. But bottom line is, whatever it was, good or bad - it helped you get to where you are now. Where you go from here is all on you.

i think alot of people started on Npro, because that they are locally stocked and sold in convenience stores. 3 people at my job started on the npro, and ventured to something not so - generic? (i guess is a good description). but they did get me started, and havent had 1 analog cigarette since Dec 13th whne i picked a pack of npro up at a local 7eleven.

I started with the npro - 6 egos 2 rivas and 3 mods (2 3.7s and one 5v) later - I still use my npros at least 3 or 4 times a week. There are times when it is the best as it is small and light and inconspicuous. The rn4081 atomizers are extremely good, and I can but refillable cartomizers for it for 5 for $5.80. My original 2 batteries are still going strong 9 months later, and I bought an off brand rn4081 manual that is 7 months old and still working - while 4 of my egos died at less then 3 months. I love my little npros and when these die I will replace them.
