I just saw an interesting topic in a thread that I don't have permission to respond to yet. So, I thought I'd bring it up here: How often do you see other vapers other than at specific vaping events? Also, (idea from that thread, admittedly not an original thought), should vapers acknowledge one another when they see each other in public? You know, like Corvette or Harley owners give each other the subtle wave and head nod when passing other Vette or Harley owners.

I'd love it if another vaper came up and said hello to me!

I once passed a guy in the street who had an e-cig, and wanted to wave mine and nod hello, but he had some big mod thing and I was embarrassed by my little ego and didn't. Also this was in central London and we don't talk to each other in London! Kind of wished I had though.

I saw a guy walking down the road as I was driving by the other day and from behind it looked like he took a toke on a cigarette, but from the massive plume of smoke he exhaled, I would guess it actually had to be vapour. But by the time I thought to wave my e-cig out the window and beep the horn I was half-way down the road anyway.

But in the right situation, I think yes I would acknowledge another vaper, I think it would be nice!

I have never seen one in my town but I know they are there cause the man who runs my old cigarette shop has said that there has been people asking about if he stocks juice. I only vape in my car when Im out and about and I still get some strange looks but I don't care. I love sometimes to really blow their minds and really vape up my car and then open the door and have it all pour out! LOL

To all you new folks - welcome!

I have seen a scant few folks (other than at my local B&M) vaping in public. I don't wander into bars anymore (although I did do a poker run a couple weekends ago and saw a small handful of vapers at the various stops.) I have yet to find restaurants where I'd feel comfortable vaping inside.

I usually give a knowing smile when I do see someone, and if my rig is handy, flash it at them too.

Starting to see them in increasing numbers. Recently attended a graduation and saw a couple of people vaping out front with the smokers. Was on the beach last weekend and saw a woman vaping. Within the past couple of weeks I have seen several people in passing cars that were vaping (the people, not the cars). Saw some statistics recently that talked about the tremendous increase in the number of people vaping (sorry, can't remember the exact percentage increase or exactly where I saw it, so you will just have to take my word for it!!).

I "hang out" periodically in one of local vape shops. Seeing more and more people coming in and asking questions and getting starter kits...

I'm seeing them more and more. Walking down the street, driving, outside of bars/restaurants etc. Some are friendly and want to talk and others are aloof. I find the newer vapers want to talk the most. Mostly trying the learn more and get ideas. I enjoy sharing what I know. I'm far from an expert but I've spent enough time and money getting where I am now. It's nice to help folks take a faster route to their sweet spot. This board is what did it for me. But the majority of folks probably don't do the internet forum thing.
