Hello fellow vapesters...... Now, I have known all my life that I am indeed a certified "air head" but I must be getting worse in my older years because of something totally stupid that I did this morning. Maybe some of you have done something similar, who knows.

Anyway, I have this bad habit of pressing the fire button on my mod for a second or two before I even attempt to take a hit off of it. I do that in order to get past the ramp up and heating time. I don't want to start inhaling until I actually have some vapor ready for me.

Well, while using my RDA this morning I dripped some nice juice onto the wicking, then hit the fire button for a couple of seconds like I normally do and was going to take a hit off of it. So, I stuck the device up to my lips in order to take a hit only to get a nasty burn on my mouth. I forgot to put the top cap back on after dripping juice! What an idiot I can be sometimes. I jammed the hot coils right into my lips.

Fortunately, I have quick reflexes and did not get burned too bad but it sure did wake me up in short order.

Something tells me Dripping when 1/2 awake is not a good thing. Even worse as we age and the mind refuses to function smoothly.

I Tank in the A.M. and Drip in the evening.

I must have worded things improperly............ I was fully awake when I was vaping.......... The remark I made about it waking me up was just a bit of self-sarcasm to let folks know that it sure was an "eye opener" .... I should have worded it different :)

Yes I know what you mean about aging and the mind...... I experience weird things all the time, especially the lack of short term memory.. Sucks for sure..... Oh well, my wife is even worse that I am in those regards :glug:

I've done that 5 minutes after waking up. Needless to say, I woke up real quick after that.

Now though, I don't even take the cap off. I just drip through the drip tip.

Yes I have thought about that but this rda I have is finicky and may leak if I drip through the tip and so I almost always remove the cap........ I am just going to have to be more careful is all. As my wife was leaving for work this morning she kissed me goodbye and she had to kiss a fella with 3 lips  Nah, it's swollen a bit but it's not that swollen. Looks like someone punched me in the lips lol.

EDIT: I will tell everyone that my wife is abusive and punched me in the face :w00t:

Just saw your sig, a Kennedy. That makes sense why you take the top cap off now.

I blamed mine on my dog. 2 year old Labrador/Bulldog mix still gets hyper. Only a vaper would realize it looked like a twisted 26g coil on my bottom lip  haha

LOL now that's funny :) What a coincidence........ I just got a lab awhile back........ Love the dog to pieces but at times I would also like to strangle him. He is the most hyper dog I have ever seen in my life (never owned a lab before him) and he wears me out most of the time. If I knew he was going to be like this, I would have selected a different breed as I am getting too old to keep up with a hyper dog like he is. I thought something was wrong with him at first and so I researched about labs and discovered that is just the way all of them are. They are hyper, very intelligent, and very playful and good with kids. Great bird dogs though.

EDIT: I see you understand about the Kennedy RDA........ You can drip through the tip but as you know, chances are you will make a giant mess. Of course, I have others I can use but the Kennedy is my baby. I never get leaks out of the thing because I have learned to be very careful with my wicking. I don't understand people who are always complaining about their Kennedy's leaking.......... If a person does a good rebuild job and a good wicking job and they don't drip through the tip, then they should not experience any leaking.

I like a big dog, I didn't know he'd be hyper but I don't mind until he head butts me or scratches me. I remember about 6 months ago, he was jumping around and his nail caught my face. I had a cut from right below my eye down to my top lip. I looked pretty rough for a week haha. My next dog will be a Great Dane.

Same thing happened to a fellow ECFer not so long ago - so you're not alone. :)

The coincidences just keep coming....this is weird....... I also want a large dog and I "assumed" that this lab I got was going to be large because one of my in-laws has one that is huge......... But, that is not to be......... This dog of mine is only about 6 months old now but he isn't growing much.......... I purchased him from the animal clinic and they told me there was a small amount of another breed in him and so this may be why he is so small. Of course, you would never know it because he looks 100% pure lab.

Nice photo and dog by the way.

So you have to take the top cap off for every drip ? would seem to me you would wear out the o rings faster and the leaking would be inevitable.

yes, you will and this is why I have a ton of extra rings :thumb: This Kennedy really isn't designed to be dripping through the tip. This may sound weird but for most folks who try it, a giant mess ensues. There are 4 giant airflow holes coming up from the bottom and if you drip through the tip, you are bound to put juice into those holes. The only way on a Kennedy that I know of to avoid this is to remove the cap.
