Ok - noob DIYer here.
My freedom smokes 36mg pg nic
My freedom smokes pg
humco vg
TPA flavoring

so I've been mixing around and came up with a nice blend. 50/50 w/ 40% flavor ( yeah, it's high-but I like it)
mixed to 12 mg nic and no TH at all.

Searched the forums on TH and they said PG is a better carrier for nic so I mixed up a batch of 70/30. Still barely any TH.

talked to some pro mixers and they are stumped - suggestions I got were bump up the nic (which I don't want). I want to stay at 12mg. I've got around 20 other flavors that range from rawr, ahlusion, XTC, monkey etc.... All 12mg and all have varying degrees of throat hit. So, I shouldn't need to bump up nic - right?

Another pro says maybe nic is mislabeled - call mfgr. I call MFS and they say the lowest nic they offer is 24 so , even if mislabeled u should still be at 24 minimum which even when diluted should get you some throat hit.

im stumped. Don't want to add everclear or whatever else people use for TH but I need some type of throaty action.

HELP!!!

thanks in advance

yea but gear is generally more important for th than the juice(especially at low mg level, see below)....you may need to rethink things.

12 mg juice=not much throat hit(nicotine being the major factor of th in juice)

menthol, cinnamon, some fruits can give massive throat hit. also note that in a lot of vendor juices there are th enhancers such as one of these flavors or pepper extract. in exact concentrations you would never know they are there. i for example use menthol in all fruit juices, but you never taste it

thanx ninfreak, i have a drake's vapes sweet tart that has massive throat hit at 12mg. i guess it must have enhancers. i'll mix up a batch at 24 and see if thats really the diff as all signs are pointing to nic = TH

Thanx everyone for the input
It's because it has citrus notes in it... citrus flavors seem to give more TH even at 12mg.

kaz171,

Are you counting correctly? You say you mixed 50/50 with 40% flavour. Correct me if I'm wrong but with 40% flavour and 50% VG you can only add 10% PG Nic. That would be only 3.6mg nic in the final mix. Or if you made your base mix first with 30% PG nic, 20% PG, 50% VG (12mg nic) and then added the flavours to that base your PG nic would only be 21% = 7.7 mg nic in th final mix.
