No vapor???

I received my Vapor King yesterday, charged the battery and decided to give it a try.

I took out the plastic plug and screwed it on. I took a long, slow drag and inhaled. I instantly started coughing. I think my carts are too strong??? Anyhow, I didn't get any vapor. Where did the vapor go?

I thought maybe it was my technique so I tried all different ways. I even changed carts thinking that maybe I got a bum cart. Still no vapor.

Help please. From what I read, these are supposed to be the best! What's goin' on here?

Thanks,
Nancy (OnlyMeInKC)

It's manual. (Sorry, I didn't know that's what you were asking. I'm fairly new at this.)

I've tried the grape, mint and pineapple carts.

They are all 24s? The mint and pineapple can be harsh at 24, I have only tried the grape once but don't remember it being harsh at all. My guess is that the 24 is too strong for you to draw enough of a hit to get the vapor. While strong, they should all be giving vapor.

I would recommend ordering some lower strength cartos, maybe 11s. In the meantime, try drawing into your mouth and holding it there and then inhaling. Also try just drawing into your mouth and not inhaling, just to get a feel for the vapor production. There is a way to cut them so they aren't so strong with VG, but I haven't done that. Hopefully someone will chime in and tell you what to do. I always have cartos ranging from 0 - 24 because sometimes I want the nic and sometimes I just want to vape some flavor. I usually stick with the 18 for all day vaping though.

There is a bit of a learning curve with the ecigs, so just play with the draw without inhaling at first and then try taking it in slowly. You can do this! ;)

True...if you inhale too deeply and hold, the vapor goes away...thats the nature of any E-CIG really. We call it "stealthing"...if you are vaping in public and want to be secret about it, you puff, inhale, hold, then little to no vapor comes out.

You'll get the hang of it, promise.

In my experience, sometimes on a new cartomizer, it takes several draws before the vapor really kicks in. When you say no vapor, do you mean none at all, or very little? The reason I ask is you said you coughed on the first drag, so you apparently got something. I've had a couple of cartos that would produce good flavor and throat hit, but no (or very little) vapor on exhale. I guess like Jen said, there is a bit of a learning curve!

I think I figured it out. They were too strong. I washed out a cart and refilled it with 1/2 notobacco and 1/2 vg mixture. Vaping like a charm. Thanks everyone for your help and assistance.

I 1st bought the NJoy NPro and I liked it but not enough vapor. So I thought I would try the Vapor King from all the suggestions on the forum. Now that it's vaping good, I'm REALLY happy with it.

You guys are the best! Thanks again.

this pretty much happened to me as well. i've tried a variety of 18mg - 36mg carts and none of them make hardly any vapor right out of the box. the only thing that has kept me happy is rinsing out and refilling them with vk juice cut with vg, then they seem to work fine.

and before anyone tells me to email CS, i did... the lukewarm response i got makes me not smile as much as i was before. i've spent well over 50 bucks on carts that don't make any vapor so i decided to come post about it.

i want to be clear that i think vk is a great product and i am very grateful to not be smoking analogs anymore but the blowoff and suggestion to make "long slow drags" kinda irritated me.

Jen let me try several different carts in different mgs and I did not have vapor problems with any of them. They were all awesome and caused me to fall in love with the vapor king.I used an 801 before that and was ready to give up.This is so much easier, and nicer.I usually use 18 or 24 and it works for me.Im very thankful for Jen and the VK.
