I am using ammo box holders. If you buy a box of ammo, the ammo comes in those little styrofom holders.

The ammo holders I'm using there are for 9mm ammo rounds

You know, a little powder and a press, a little mod, and VK will turn into a nice round for ya.

Then we can recycle theses things :)

What exactly will the mod do to improve the VK? (Not that it needs any)

Thats a good question. As far as performance...how do they improve on the 901 performance? I don't know but every one mentions how they get better hits off the SD vs a regular 901. I bought a bunch of batteries for the VK carts and I don't know why half of them died on me within a month. Either the switches got stuck or they stopped getting proper contact between the battery and the cart. One of them I dropped and the switch got stuck...and burned. I went through 5 batteries in one month. So I am hoping a mod will cut the cost down. ...we'll see.

There is a thread here about VK batteries.

They give some advise on cleaning the battery terminals.

I haven't tried it yet, but I am planning on it.

Have you tried to clean the terminals?

Could you clarify how many drops you drip into the battery end of the Nebula ?

Also, clarify how many drops you drop into the "top" of the Nebula ?

One the several occasions I'v tried this, I have gotten fluid in my mouth ?????

Thanks

It really depends on how dry the cart is when you decide to refill.

I usually don't drop any more than 6-7 drops when going from battery end...even then I will sometimes still get a mouthful of liquid on first draw. If I do, I take the cart off and blow any excess out onto a paper towel.

If filling from the mouthpiece, just drip, around the edge and let it run down into batting, until you see it get fairly moist without a puddle forming on top of batting.

Either way, let the carts sit for at least 30mins before re-using.

My best,

We do a lot of statistical analysis at work, generate and post scientific graphs on the web, etc. for the US govt. I actually presented this chart in a project planning meeting as a prototype for a possible 12-month project, justifying funding for two full-time contract developers (one post-doctorate), IT purchases, the whole deal. It took the feds a long, uncomfortable and embarrassing amount of time to figure out I was KIDDING!!

I love my job. :D

Right on my empty .357 boxes are THE perfect holders to store or refill carts. Darn it, I was so proud of myself when I thought of it--oh well, like my dad said, "there's always someone bigger, smarter or faster than you"
I'm thinkin BKM is all 3!

You mentioned that you are using a syringe.

Where did you get the syringe from?

We live in PA, possibly one of the most restrictive in the US for buying a syringe.

In PA you are required to have a prescription to legally buy a syringe.
Here's the weird parts: That rule ONLY applies to a syringe to use for a human.

A farmer can buy a limited supply at a place that sells animal medications. (The syringe, and the medication are exempt from the prescription rule!)

I have ordered syringes for "refilling ink cartridges" from e-bay at a pretty good price. (new ones of course, do NOT want to try and smoke ink! YUCK)

I guess since the needles are dull they are exempt?

Anyway, thanks PA for your bizarre laws.

Where in Central PA are you? I have LOADS of syringes I had from a prescription that I don't use anymore- and they work pretty good, not the thin insulin type syringes. (when I was pregnant with my daughter I had to inject blood thinners) If you'd like, I'd be happy to give you a few. :)
