I just got the shock of my life!

I purchased an additional wall charger and a 5pack of the new Mega Batteies for my 510. I immediately took them on a trip and they both worked great for a couple of days and then the charger quit working on both the mega & regular batteries.

When I got home all mega batts would not recharge on my original charger. Bummer!

So I bundled everything up and sent it back. It was less than 2 weeks after I placed my order.

This is the response I got:

Hello there,
I received your return today and unfortunately we do not offer any warranty on the 5 packs, because they are sold at such a discount price. I can however replace your charger and maybe that was the issue.
Thanks so much,

So now I'm sol for the $55 because another of their products fried them????

POOR, POOR SERVICE & ATTITUDE IMHO.

Will take my my business elsewhere.

I just checked the Jantyusa website - they offer a 3 month warranty on batteries. Once I find out where they are, I'll order from them.

Me and my mother ordered a 5 pack of 901 batteries and a 5 pack of 901 atomizers. First and foremost, they're RN parts, not true 901 parts.
Second, after 2 weeks, one atomizer is left standing. All batteries and other atomizers are dead.
2 batteries were DOA, as was 1 atomizer.
We contacted TW about this, and they asked for more details about the behavior of the devices. They said that if any were truly DOA they would replace them. My mother e-mailed them back, explaining the 3 DOA's, and that the rest were dropping like flies between the time we received their e-mail and the time that we replied.

We have received no further feedback.
I will not be ordering from TW again, ever.

Edit:
Especially after seeing the HUGE laundry list of people who bought 5 packs and had them die. What the heck are you guys doing, re-selling returns in 5 packs!? I've been vaping for 2 months and NONE of my other batteries are dead yet, but 5 of yours died back to back in less than a week. I'm not trying to flame anyone here, but I'm just bewildered.

In all fairness, you generally only see the complaints on this forum. TW sells a huge amount of hardware (from what pillbox has posted in the past), so you're bound to have some failures.

It's unfortunate that you have failures like you've had, but in fairness, you could get a bad batch from just about any vendor.

I take my chances when I buy the mutlipacks from TW, so far so good. But if they fail, I know where I stand with TW's policy on not warranting the multipacks.

That is true. And honestly, the things I have gotten have worked well and for the most part I am pleased. I don't appreciate the fact that twice they lied and said they were sending the replacement (for their error by the way) out that day and twice they did not do it and I am now getting no response from them.

But I think the bone of contention in this post was he bought a pack of 5 batteries and several of them were fried by a faulty charger which was also TW's product. If they admit the charger is faulty and are replacing it, shouldn't they also replace the items that the faulty charger destroyed? Common sense would say yes.

I've had real good luck with the multipacks of atomizers. And I use them on the Prodigy at high voltage too. And yes they are of the RN variety but that is a good thing in my honest opinion. They wick the carts better than the SLB or "true" atomizers. Also the RN runs 15% hotter therefore producing more vapor at shorter drags. Also producing better throat hit.
And the little Devil is kinda cool.... :p

i have said this before but we test hundred of identical atomizers to those jason sells.. in fact our last 400 came from jason..

finding a DOA is very rare.. in fact almost none existent.. soooo i have to wonder about some folks finding three out of five DOA ones..

we do not test them on old well worn battery connections tho.. only new ones.. i have to think the problem isnt simply DOA atomizers.. perhaps its some of the old semi worn out batteries folks who find unbelievable to me 3 out of 5 DOA ones use to test them..

in fact 3 out of 5 DOA is an impossibility.. something else has to be at work here..

trog

ps... if new atomizers were only sold with new batteries the DOA rate would be a almost zero for the atomizers.. screwing them on the end of old junky batteries is the problem here.. perhaps not always but mostly.. it also accounts for the odd customers getting the super high claimed DOA rate..

we test all RN4075 and BE112 atomizers we ship and throw DOA ones.. one in hundreds gets thrown.. when tested with new clean battery connections the DOA rate is so near zero as to be zero..

My org 510's wall charger doesnt charge batt good even with the reg 510's batts, it charges for about 1hr then turn green but the batts are not full yet so i only charge with my 3 usb chargers. I'm gonna buy the Mega charger soon, love that one.

the only time I ever had a problem with the atty from them is I used the first one I pulled from the box (and had been using it for about a month) and put it on my GG at 6 volts and it popped. But damn if it didn't last a month before it diedI love their atties....I have taken a brand new one from someone else and put it on my rig then a brand new one from TW and it produced a hundred times better....same set up....brand new battery.....same cart....same liquid....same everything else...and it was better.....i have TW atties on everything I have

They really should have some sort of warranty on them. It seems funny that they wouldn't, almost like they are factory seconds/rejects. If they are seconds, then they should state that.
People want to buy these because of the good price. That should tell someone that folk buy when they find a good price and maybe should lower the price on all our stuff and sell more. But they should have some sort of warranty on them. It's not saving you money, if you get a good deal and it dies a day later.

Why should they? They offer these parts with the normal warranty and price elsewhere on the site if that's what you want. When these multi packs were introduced TW were very clear that they were aimed at people who viewed these parts as disposable and were prepared to risk a few duds in return for the lower price. It's a bit of a gamble but I'm more than happy with it and TW have been completely upfront about all this. The lack of warranty has always been clearly stated on the item pages but if it's important to you buy the items that do have one.

I have had a bunch of problems with this company and posted them here, only to have some of these posts deleted for no reason what so ever. I currently have 2 dying totally wicked batteries (one auto/one manual) that are about two months old. I have one mega battery that’s not even a month old that’s dying, and a two month old pass-through that’s completely dead. I treat my e-cigs as if they were gold and never drop them, leave them in the hot car, and am very .... when it comes to charging them correctly. With the acceptation of smoke51 which has been a nightmare to deal with, I have not had any problems with any of my other e-cigs.

What it comes down to is I will never buy another electronic product from totally wicked. There are far too many complaints on the forums here and elsewhere, along with my own issues I have had with them.

They sent me a faulty PPC and basically told me they all were "broken" due to a design flaw, and that’s not their fault. Someone please explain to me that if I buy a car, it randomly catches fire, and then the car company tells me it’s a design flaw they were all made like that, how is it not their fault? If it was not sold with a warning that it was flawed, how is it the customers fault?

In the case above they clearly state on the website they are not warranted as a 5 pack. Do I agree with this; not at all? I honestly think they send refurbished and used products in those discounted packs just to get rid of them; why else would so many people be having problems?

Don't buy electronics from this company, and spread the word. Two nights ago a friend I was talking to wanted to buy a starter pack. I had her go elsewhere where she found it for 1/2 the price. I still buy liquid from them but will never buy or recommend this company to anyone, in fact in my youtube reviews I have been steering people elsewhere ever since they blew me off last time. If enough people stop buying from them, they will eventually get the picture and start doing something about these kinds of problems.

Sorry for the double post, you cant seem to edit posts here. I wanted to point out that I have never had a problem with their atomizers, both the 801 & 501 multipacks.

Its the batteries that have all had issues. I do not three weeks or even two months of light use "old" when it comes to rechargeable batteries. There is a possibility its my charger when it comes to the e-cigs (I only have the original one from my first kit several months ago) but the passthrough does not use a charger, so who knows.

Trog, dearest - would I lie to you? See my siggie for battery info ;)

Anyway... I am notorious (in my small group) for buying more duff gear than anyone else in the world - but I've passed my 11-month anniversary, it just means I've spent more than anyone else in the world too 8-o
