I was just thinking about all that useless stockpile of wick and wire and mesh in my closet. 
I keep forgetting today is april 1st. I was actually thinking about if it would be possible to incorporate the wick and heating element into one piece, or at least the end of the wick and heating element as one kind of like piece of mesh that would heat up but also would suck up the juice... but there are some serious engineering issues there... o well
lol i wish it was true..... surprised that someone hasn't tried to make a ultrasonic atty yet i used to have a small one for my chameleon that sucker put out some major vapor.

I may actually be working on a system to get rid of the heating coil and replace it with a better technology that is accurately temperature controlled/limited soon. Would still have a wick though, probably high grade porous ceramic though. We'll see how it goes if it works at all.
good luck hope it works out for you, this got me thinking about taking apart the little ultrasonic for the chameleon and seeing if i can make it run on low voltage they even sell replacement membranes for them for like $4, dont think i could get one to fit an ego but defiantly should be able to fit one in a full sized tank.

I had heard that early in the ecig game there were some attempts at that but the problem was that it gave cold vapor. I dont have an references though to said device.
yea thats very possible but cold vapor probably wouldn't bother me to much, would probably be better then having things clogging up all the time or getting muted flavor from wicks and filler.i think the biggest challenge would be to make it run on 3.7 or 7.4 volts and keeping it small.
