Noalox/new to me Stealth

Just got a new to me GG Stealth, my first GG, and was wondering if you recommend and use noalox on the threads.
Now that the question is out of the way, I gotta say, I love my Stealth. Eventually I'd like to pick up a brass bottom cap and a brass rethreader ring for a change up.

the best solution for your GG stealth, you must clean all parts and threads frequently

noalox = BAD !!

i use this stuff,it takes a very long time for it to harden [years] and is designed for low resistance applications

noalox is one more thing that was telling people not to use op. After many months, a lot of users realised that its not good at all on our mods

Is it good to put a little petroleum jelly on the treads? Or should I just leave them bare?

if you mean vaseline, you can put a very little of it jeff, only to make threads smoother. But first be sure that threads are clean

The threads on my Stealth are pretty darn smooth as is, thank you. Really appreciating the craftsmanship, and quality of this devise. I have always heard about it, now I get to experience it.

Noalox is a pain on the threads, it was a mistake to put it on one of my GGTS's, so never put it on threads. However it does a good job on parts that press against each other constantly. And as denali said it is used for high current applications. Anyway you can put a dab on the firing pin, but you have to know what you are doing. A little bit more and it will cause problems. So I am not advising it anymore to people although the very experienced ones can use it to their advantage. One of the important things it does is that it prevents arcing between parts. In case of GGTS since the firing pin is not pointed it doesn't really need Noalox, but only some cleaning from time to time.

The thing about noalox is yes the paste is an isolator, but the tiny zinc dust in it is conductive. To benefit from conductivity of zinc dust, a lot of dust has to be compressed between 2 parts which are not perfectly smooth. too much noalox will be overkill because again it is an isolating paste.

Noalox is developed and intended for aluminum and aluminum only. That's why there's zinc in there. Make no mistake, zinc and stainless are anodic enemies...
