Seeing as i went searching and either i did not do a proper search or it has not been asked before i have a very odd and weird question and it is not for me.....
My wife (who quit smoking now for 18 years) i think is a little jealous that there is so many flavors out there for vapping (if you are ready this hun....you soooo pretty!) anyway i am wondering if a non smoker could vap as well? I mean if i was to get a new-never-used-atty and tip along with some 0mg nic juice to make sure she is not getting any nic......
Would this be running the risk of getting my wife to start smoking again? would it be harmful? I imagine people have ran into this before, but i just cannot find the info....
any thoughts/speculations is greatly welcome

I am actually a non smoker who vapes, actually let me rephrase, I am a non cigarette smoker who vapes. I smoke pipes in the summer and hookas when I travel. I vape without nicotine most of the time and it does not make me want anything stronger.

I think the problem with vaping is it is so easy that it can be easy to get carried away. My pipe smoking only happens outside and I don't have a balcony, so it forces me to only smoke when I have the time to really enjoy it with good weather. vaping which I can do inside, one puff at a time, is just so easy I am doing it all day.

I would say yes. She might get so hooked to the whole vaping thing that one day, out of 0mg juice for example, might feel tempted to use one of your regular juices (with nic). I wouldn't say she would go back to analogs but might love the nic too much to the point where she won't find satisfaction in the 0mg juices.

call me the turnanator then.....hey, i will help turn my wife then if it is for a good cause  just could not resist that one.
a serious note: better to be well informed, and get thoughts on the matter then jumping right in.

I quit smoking 6 years ago, my wife quit as well but started up again last year, i bought her a kit to help her stop.......well I started showing people how it worked be demonstration and it felt reaaaaaly good, not just the nic but the whole thing lol. So i started vaping.....the marriage of technology and old habits was too much of a draw. I really enjoy it and that is all that matters, i missed smoking haha, the way i see it is vaping is a much healthier and cheaper (if you dont buy every shiny thing you see *guilty*) and gosh darn it I like it. Oh ya, my wife didnt take to vaping, she will try again, but i found a new hobby.

Ya i hear you, well as far as i go I want nothing to do with analogs ever, no desire to go near one, i will stick to my watermelon vape thank you very much, and if it did come down to it and there was a catastrophic loss of nic juice in the world, I would just stop, having done it with analogs and all their nasty chemicals I know i could do it with vaping. Oh and here is the shiny thing :p

Well i know myself i am still cheating with the cancer sticks, so i do not have much room to talk there. But i find it silly in a sense that of all the addictions (for myself) that were easy to just walk away from smoking is the hardest...
and BOL on the shinny thing.....i am so sending you my secret mini penguin army now ;)

Ya i quit cold turkey after 12 years, it was hard, the worst part was my brain trying to talk myself into lighting up for one reason or the other, then once i had quit i remember wondering when if ever i would stop thinking about smoking all the time.....it did go away though :)

I agree. That's how I started smoking again after the last time I Quit. Love me my vaping though, and it fills the space of the analogs so well. Zero urge to get a smoke at all. Well except when i was under the truck swearing my head off the other day. Thank jeebus I had some really heavy 24mgjuice around to fix me. Apparently I found my trigger...

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Imagine going through your day with nothing but triggers all around you... Then you will begin to see into my world. If you are looking for an excuse to smoke, look no further than mechanical repair -- where every single job reveals a panoply of reasons to spark up a cig. I too am grateful for the fact that I keep some strong and very flavourful squeeze on-hand for such emergencies. I am yet to cave into the urge, but it takes some doing every now and then. :D

I quit smoking this year and when I could take it no longer I was lucky enough to find e-cigs. My husband who had quit 4 or 5 years ago decided he wanted to vape, too. He missed the act of smoking, but not the cigarettes. He doesn't even like the tobacco flavours. We both vape 0-nic. We are still in the trying out suppliers and flavours right now.

So I think your wife starting to vape shouldn't pose a problem to become a gateway to returning to a bad habit. Stick to 0-nic and no tobacco flavours? And even if she does decide she wants to try an analog, she'll find the taste icky as she'll be used to fruits and desserts.

I quit smoking about 4 years ago and took up vaping almost a year ago because I missed the smoking *thing* but did not want to start smoking again. I am almost 100% sure that I will not smoke again because the smell of cigarette smoke makes me nauseous now and I can not imagine doing that again.

Vaping has not made me to want to start smoking again and the urge to start smoking was not there when I started vaping. I vape anywhere between 8 and 18 mg nic and some days I vape 0 nic.

So, my vote is no, it will not want to make your wife want to start smoking again.

My recommendation is someone who never smoked should niot take up vaping period. Yes nicotine is harmless, but would you recommend nose powder to anyone who never powdered their nose before - addiction is addiction regardless of the stimulant we use to satisfy said addiction.

OTOH if a smoker who no longer smokes (no such thing as an ex smoker, just like there are no ex alcoholics) has irresistible triggers because of your vaping, then yes. Vaping would be better than stinkies.
