Hello, all.

I've just hit 3 months smoke-free. After fooling around with the gas station Blu disposable ecigs, I graduated to an Ego Twist C a few months ago and have not looked back. I'm just now at the point where I'm moving from the disposable clearomizers to something a little better, and have ordered a Kanger Protank mini 3 and a Kanger Aerotank. I didn't realize until very recently that these were compatible with my Ego Twist.

I'm interested in getting a new battery and I want to stick to Ego threaded pen-type batteries. Should I just pick up another Twist or should I be looking at a Kanger iPow or something like that? At this point, I'm not inclined to mess with anything fancy or fussy. I like to be able to put the thing in my pocket when I leave the house.

I'm really glad this forum exists, because the consumer information on e-cigs is spotty and hard to come by and I hate watching YouTube reviews.

Thanks

Lou

Hey Lou,

Glad to see another person adding to the windy city. You'll definitely want a backup, but I'll leave it to the others as to which of the stick batteries is the most reliable in their current version. I'm also going to point you towards chi-town vapers over in bensonville as a decent local place for affordable eliquid; local tax sucks, but when you're starting out and have no idea what some of these things taste like it can be a boon to stop in and try a few things out before buying larger quantities.

Lou, it kind of depends what you want out of vaping. My wife uses a Vision Spinner and an eGo twist. One of those is her back-up and sits in the car. Anyway, she is happy and she stays away from cigarettes. Me are, it is more of a hobby. There are some "mini" VV/VW MODs coming out for the Christmas season. They are not as cheap as they will be in February. Once things get competitive, prices will drop some.

Anyway, getting another Vision Spinner or eGo twist is good. If nothing more than for a back-up. Also, many vapers have more than one/two tanks. Changing flavors is done to keep the taste buds fresh.

I hope Santa does you well.
