Terribly sorry for this noob thread. I happened to pass by a store today and liked the look of the Geekvape Frenzy and bought one without really knowing much about these things.
I was able to learn some of the basics, like the names of the parts, from a couple of review vids online but I need some help.

Some things I would like to ask - Firstly, does it matter what position I use the device in? For instance if I'm lying in bed, tilting the device it would seem to move the liquid around and depending on the remaining volume move the liquid away from the coil which I imagine would not be optimal?

Secondly, related to my first question, do I allow the tank to run dry or do I top it up somewhere in the middle. Again, my concern is it seems the coil situated on one side of the pod is not in full contact with the liquid as the volume decreases.

Also, can i use any type of coils? My initial assumption was different brands used standardized coils but it seems each brand has their own and different devices use different ones? Also, could someone explain why one coil has stated settings in the manual in volts and the other in Fahrenheit?

Additionally, it seems the tip gets rather hot. I'm using the preinstalled .7ohm and I've noticed it gets hot enough right at the end of the tip but if I reposition my lips lower (no homo) it gets somewhat bearable. I don't know if this is normal.

Thanks it advance.

    Somewhere between here and there
It shouldn't matter too much on the position it's used in. I never let my tanks run dry. It's a personal preference thing but I tend to top off tanks when they are about half empty. As far as coils go you need to use either their .7 like you have or the 1.2 stainless steel coils. The unit will sense the SS coils and automatically go to temperature control I believe. It's been a long time since I used the one I got. If the tip is too hot then you might try the 1.2 coil. It' shouldn't run as hot I don't think. I've reviewed many of the Geekvape products and they typically make great devices. I didn't review the Frenzy but did buy one. It's the only Geekvape product that I've tried and didn't really care for. It just didn't fit my style of vaping.

I never got that phrase. It always also seemed to fall in the like, "Methinks he doth protest too much."

That phrase ruined one of my favorite rap songs. I mean, come ON dude, you are rich, surrounded by women I don't think anyone is gonna accuse you of "homo" unless you feel the need to reference it somehow. Like, no one thinks you are homo until you SAY that. Although I guess I don't care if the rapper is secretly banging his roadies, the music is still good.

I think it should be replaced with "SO homo."

    @stols001 & @Cloud-FF7 . . .

Okay - Let's not over take the OP thread . . . While I do appreciate reading your post & comments this is not what the original subject is all about in this thread . . . I just wanted to bring to the OP's attention that "No Homo" could be construed as an offensive wording and they really should refrain from using it, and especially in a public forum - like ECF also . . . You never really know who is reading your post . . . Just Sayin' . . .

No need to explain your comment... most people here won't make fun of something like that (maybe on other forums but I feel like ECF is above such childish stuff) By the way, hello and welcome! I haven't tried the frenzy but have read many good comments about it.

Simple answer... take short draws and wait a few minutes between draws (this is a pod device... are you trying to "chain vape" it?) Maybe increase the nic strength of your juice if you feel like you need more. I never let any tank get close to empty (don't know if that matters because I haven't let any tank get close to empty) Also, how many watts are you using (many people say to not push a coil to it's max rated wattage) TC (temperature control) may be very helpful for certain coils but I never use it myself... mostly because I do short draws and wait between draws so just don't need it) I tend to vape with the device upright but it is a valid question about using something when lying down. One trick is to take a "primer puff" (draw air without firing) between vapes... keeps the coil saturated.

My apologies for any offence I have caused with my use of that phrase. Mods pls go ahead and delete my post if it's considered not to be in line with your forum rules and guidelines.

Absolutely No reason to have your post deleted, no real offense was taken. We all step in it at times, and just NEED to know from "Friends" when we have. HEY - I've done it more then once and for many years too. Thankfully, "We" all learn one way or another from "Our" mistakes along the way - that's what makes Us All "Perfect Human Beings".

What's important, is "You' came to ECF to learn more, particularly about your Transition into the World of Vaping. AND - Although, I cannot assist you about the specific equipment you are using at the moment, many others here on ECF will be able too. You will also make many friends who are here to help you too, as they have helped me along the way.

    So - A Big Huge . . .

Welcome to ECF. Neither I have experience with that particular device but it look like it has pre set settings and 3 for each. Just use the you feel comfortable with. Like suggested above if chain vaping up your nicotine. If I tilt my mod or pod at some point it was upwards so the juice will go into the coils and I also never let the ejuice go to low.

Feel free to ask any questions. Heaps of helpful ECF members around :)

Thanks everyone for the help and the warm welcome. It's been a few days now and I'm starting to get the hang of it. I figured out the heat was caused to placing my mouth right at the opening of the nozzle getting in direct contact with the hot smoke as it was exiting the device after being heated. Lying down vape seems to promote some ejuice coming out the nozzle as I can sometimes taste some on my lips after vaping while lying down.

I have just realized they don't actually allow nicotine e-liquids in my part of the world, so there's that. It's not really why I picked it up so it's not a big issue. Currently I'm using Ripe Vapes Clove juice, it's around 65/25 VG/PG and using it with the .7ohm coil produces good smoke. I don't know about the wattage but there are three settings and I tend to stay between medium and high settings. I'm guessing it's also why my 950mah battery barely lasts a 2ml pod, sometimes a pod and a bit.

It's only two and a half weeks since quit smoking after picking it up again last year, so my preference right now leans toward mtl taking lots of puffs like a cigarette. The vaping smoke is nowhere near as satisfying and it did lead to strong cravings for actual cigarettes, something I had expected. Also, I suspect it's the cause of a slightly runny nose I've been experiencing for the past couple of days.

I'm still not sure if I'll carry on with this but so far the experience has not been bad at all.

Hello @jon123, I think that you've discovered the issue with some pod devices. Because of the small capacity built in battery they're more aimed at MTL style vaping and not DTL style, as the more vapour they produce the less runtime they have.

If you wish to continue vaping though, there are a few different options available though. But it will involve upgrading from your current setup.
