…or any member.

Hi everyone. We have been living in Oahu temporarily for a year. The condo where we lived recently banned analogs where we were smoking outside so I headed to the mall and yes, I paid those outrageous prices.

Initially I had no intention to quit analogs however I found I loved vaping so much until the cartomizers started tasting burnt. After numerous trips to the mall, different types of atomizers, cartridges and cartomizers not to mention horrendous customer service, I decided to cut my losses and order a new setup. My new eGo-T (type A) starter kit arrived with 2 atomizers which were DOA and the spare atomizer I ordered now tastes burnt.

My main question is does anyone know what mod the Ala Moana shopping center (kiosk) sells? I am thinking it might be the eGo Echo-E. I’ve asked the people at the counter and their response is always, “it’s our own.”

Once I establish what mod I have, then I will have several other questions, so any help is definitely appreciated.

Mahalo!

Wassup shoogie. In answer to your first post, the only kiosk I know of at Ala Moana is the volcano e-cig kiosk. They are a bit different from the fyah pv's. I don't know exactly which e-cig you have but I use an inferno (from volcano), and I think it's like and ego-t clone. Anyways, it's good to hear that you've cut down on smoking! I do agree that finding the right set-up will get you completely off the analog rollercoaster, once I found mine analogs were out of the picture for good.
Aloha!

Aloha Shoyu. I have stopped by Volcano as well, supposedly they just opened the kiosk. Volcano didn't have anything that would fit the threads on mine. The Dream eCig kiosk is in front of Jean's Warehouse, Yami Yogurt, Pretzelmaker... the Foodland side. I might take my eGo T Tank by and see if they have anything that will fit. Mahalo!

Shoyu, do you know if your co-worker uses atomizers or cartos? And where they buy them? Well at least I now know my threads aren't 510, so thinking maybe 808??? Getting ready to head over there now to see what Volcano carries until I decide if I want to replace both of my pvs with just one where I can buy accessories cheaper online. Mahalo!

Ummm well actualy i think it really is. Its a variable voltage mod. So basically it is the tube, you buy batteries that go with it. It has a 510 connection so you can screw on any atty, carto, whatever you like with a 510 connection. There is a button on the side you push to vape. There are little buttons where you can go up and down in voltage. It is set to protect itself so if, for example, you were to put on a carto that was low resistance and tried to go up to 5 volts, the LT automatically adjusts itself down in voltage (because you shouldnt use low resistance on high voltage). It wont show this adjustment, but it does do it. Soo, if you were to get yourself a LT, i would suggest a clearomizer or cartomizer that is not LR -- get about 2.5 to 3 ohm range. If you go down into the 1. something or low 2s, that is fine for vaping on voltages below about 3.7 or so, but you cannot go up into the higher voltages. Im afraid i might be just confusing you.

Okay if you get a lavatube, get some cartos or clearomizers or atomizers that are in a higher ohm range. Fill her up, screw her on, and vape like a freight train!

My co-worker uses the cartos that she buys from the dream e-cig store on nimitz. I would think they'd have 'em at the kiosk too. I think the connection is an 801, sorry still kinda new at this too.

That's a pretty damn good description dotma! Shoogie that's some pretty good advice, I do think that there's a lot of flexibility with 510 connections. Aloha!

Wow, both of you are helping quite a bit. I think I have come to the conclusion that I'll eat my losses with the FYAH pv because $12/carto is outrageous compared to other options and too expensive just to try new flavors. I like the Ego T tank however burnt atomizers is changing my mind rather fast.

Do you know how the lavatube compares to the 650mAh V.V.Boge 510D or is there no comparision?

I really dont know how they compare. I have seen a VV Riva but never tried it. I do have an Ego T set also, the battery was 900 mah so i would assume that this Boge one would last probably less than a day if you use it a lot or use high voltage a lot, but it may be good, i dunno! Ego devices i think are a great way to start, anything with over about 650 mah and that has a 510 connection is going to give you a lot of choices to start off with. If you get an ego, i would then suggest going with a LR atty, carto, etc., if you want a hotter, stronger hit. I loved the ego tank at first and then it just got really annoying and i didnt use them again after the first couple of weeks.

Again thank you dotma. I've read the lavatube details and thinking I will end up buying that and forget about trying to find accessories for my FYAH. When we go back to the mainland I won't be stuck ordering accessories from Hawaii. I'm quite sure the Volcano sells the lavatube at the kiosk. Mahalo for all your help.

I think that VV sounds kinda interesting, but at 650 mah might go kinda quick if you're vaping at higher volts all the time. I currently have a 650 mah passthrough and a 1000 mah paired up with a LR 306 atty. Great TH and great vapor production...that is if you don't mind dripping. I think the lavatube is great, but if you're looking for a cheaper alternative the bigger ego's (or clones, like I have) with 510 connections could be the way to go. But if you're stuck on the Lava Tube, they should have some at the kiosk :vapor:
