Hello all,

i am new to vaping and your forums here. I am having a slight problem, and didn't know exactly where to list it. I recently purchased an IClear 16 clearomizer. I also ordered what I thought were direct drop in replacement heads. The coil that originally shipped with the clearomizer is a 1.8 ohm. The heads I ordered are 2.2 ohms. Both are labeled iClear 16. The co-worker that introduced me to vaping stated that the heads with different ohms changes the vaping experience. I went to trade out the coil today to see if I liked the ohm difference in the coils. All things went as planned except, the new coils are not as tall as the original and there is a 1/8" gap between the top of the coil/head and the bottom of the tip. I figured that maybe it was a manufacturing defect and put in 2 more new coils with the same result. Because of this gap, the juice is not "sealed" in the tank as with the original. Is this supposed to be like this? looks to me like the juice will run out now unlike with the original. Did I order the wrong coils/head? Please forgive my n00bness if I am not using the correct terminology... Lol. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi

These are the parts of an iClear. The heads are the same shape, regardless of the ohms. What in the picture is different from what you have?

@vgame: yes, the iClear 16 and the replacement heads were ordered at the same time from the same company.

@the ocelet: i have all the same items you show there. So this morning I went ahead and opened all of the replacement heads. I must have a bad batch of heads. Out of the 5 pack, only 2 have the proper spacing/fit. I am going to contact the company I ordered them from to see about getting them replaced. I am amazed that there is so much variance in height between the same heads. I will chalk it up to a Monday or Friday manufacturing date... Lol

Thanks for all the responses.

Ok... Contacted the company I ordered them from. They are shipping out replacements today. They have not received this complaint before. They state that the metal portion of the head is machined to exact standards, and the culprit is more than likely the rubber cap. I should be able to swap out the rubber caps from the good heads to the heads where they are too short. Problem solved.
