I need help with my e-cig. Lots of questions but I cannot seem to locate on this form the e-cig brand I'm using, or can I post anywhere but here.

I am using the EC Transition pen cig. ( I cannot post links you can google my ecig)

I have ordered replacement atomizer, cartridges, drops. No rhymn or reason sometimes I get no vapor. Battery has been charged for over 8 hours at the start, bought new replacement battery and charged it too.

Put new filter in

Replaced atomizer and nothing.

I was JONZING for my nicotine after 24 hours without my e-cig, pilfired through my stash box and just put an old atomizer on, old cartridge and it worked. Great, so now I'm going again. All 3 battery's are charged for over 24 hours each now.

They are all work for 2 days then now again same dang thing, no vapor.

Yes I checked inside to make sure that little plastic tip that comes on the cartridge isn't inside where the atomizer is.

What the heck is going on?

Can I clean the atomizer for this pen e cig?

Can I wash the filters and reuse them (yeah I'm cheap)

Anyone using my brand that can help me please?

You will, more than likely, get the same advice I did when I first came on these forums. buy a better e-cig. I started off with a "Kit" e-cig called Direct e-cig. Was having pretty much the same issues as you are. Then someone mentioned the Joye 510 model. So I went to Rocky Mountain Vapor and ordered a 510 model and could not be happier. It works SO much better than the first one I had and was MUCH cheaper too.

I really am not a big fan of cleaning the atomizers. Having said this though, you should always take the atomizer off at night and blow any excess liquid out and leave it to drain on a papertowel so it does not gunk up the atomizer. You can pull the filler out and wash it and dry it by rolling it in a papertowel and restuffing the cartridge. This can be done a few times before you would need to buy new filler.

The 801 is a nice unit-before running out and purchasing a new set up, you can buy an adapter 801-510 to try a 510 atomizer. I think it is here: http://shop.goodprophets.com/product.sc?productId=89&categoryId=38
that you can purchase one.

My adult son uses the same one as me and he hasn't had any of the problems I am having. Since I cannot post the link just google EC transition

When it is working it is working great, have to add a few drops every few hours, but when it isn't working heck I'll go through lots of drops before I figure out it isn't that, the filter looks dry so I keep adding the drops but it isn't firing up. I feel the heat, it gets very hot but no smoke comes out.

It acts as if the battery is dead but it isn't because the tip lights up rapidly 20 times to let me know the battery is dead and I'm not getting that.

HzG8rGrl,

When I unscrew the atom. it is dry as a bone inside, nothing has ever dripped out. Trust me, I have no idea but the thing is always dry. It seems I have to add a lot of drops too often just to keep the filter wet.

I thought maybe the filter is pushed down to far, so I tried using tweezers to fluff it up some and make sure it is towards the top. That doesn't help.

I'm about to give up and just go buy a pack of smokes. LOL

I have yet to hear of the brand you are using, sounds like an 801.
Are you topping up your filler with liquid?
Yes I am, when it is working like it should I only have to add about 4 drops every 2 hours, when it isn't working, the filter is so dry no matter how many drops I add. Example

I'll add 10 drops, the filter is now nice and primed. I wait a few seconds, having the pen facing down but not too much...and NOTHING, I open it up after 10 minutes of frustration, and the dang filter is dry again.

The 801 atomizer is a big one. You can put a ton of juice in there. They do not wick very fast. You could be running the filler dry. Use a toothpick and slide it down the side of the filler when you are filling it-the air will allow the filler to absorb the liquid. You can also drop a couple drops of juice directly onto the mesh in the atomizer when it is running to dry.

YKruss,

That was the correct subforum thanks. It seems that I haven't been doing anything wrong, it is just I have a big old drop guzzeler for my e-cig. I was thinking about pre-soaking some of the filters overnight, but haven't figured out how to insert them without the liquid ending up all squeezed out of the filter from trying to insert it into the filter tip again.

This is turning into one big science project it seems and I was not good in science. Yeah I'm one of those females that cannot read a map! Thank goodness for GPS. *laugh*

I smoked for 30 years, just quit cold turkey 2 months ago and I was doing great, then my son sends me this ecig, and now I'm addicted again. My kid is my dealer now, how funny is that.

I just added drops right down the atomizer and it worked...I think next time though I better let it slide down the side from what I read.

This isn't a bad product it just uses a lot of drops and knowlege on how to use them. I have loads of filters thinking I needed those more then the drops. I guess the 3 bottles I have will last me a week or two at best.

On the drops, what and where is the best one to buy, for price and flavor. I don't want those flavored almond, coffee crap. I'll take my full body flavor smoke thank you.

Do not soak them. That is messy business. Use the filling method I gave you above, it really works! You can also pull the filler out and put in most of your liquid in the cart first, then slowly ( with tweezers) put the filler back in and then top with a few more drops till the filler looks like a slushy/icee on top. If liquid pools then dab it with a papertowel.
I know some people do not like syringes. If you get a 16 gauge blunt needle syringe you can just fill by inserting the needle down the side of cart inbetween the filler and cart side and slowly bring the needle up as the cart fills. You can see the cart filling with an 801.

Yep, just figured that out. I need more drops, full flavor, cheapest but best, where to buy?
