Hey all, im 29 and trying to quit smokeless tobacco.Been dipping for 8-9 years and i just want to be done.My friend said he bought a flavored nicotine vape to help him quit and he stopped dipping for good.He is deployed overseas so i cant ask him for the make and model of what he got and i am ready to quit. I want to order a vape that will help me quit but dont know where or what to buy or where to buy the "liquid" that goes in the vape or the right MG. If anyone could kindly point me in the right direction or explain what I have to do i would greatly appreciate it.I just wanna be tobacco free once and for all!! Thanks

hi there and welcome
you have come to the right place

a good place to start
The Vaper's Progress
The three main types of ecig - an explanation

if you have a decent shop around go there and ask w they think would suit you

it also depends on how heavy a smoker you are

personally i would suggest a box starterkit
like Kangertech Topbox Mini 75w TC Starter Kit this yould give you a good start and a lot of possibilities to expand
but its personal and if you want to start smaller, by all means do

Hhhmmm... I don't know how to tell a non-smoker how to quit :) The gear I normally recommend for them is designed to be used like smoking a cigarette. It will probably work for you too, because I doubt you want to be blowing giant cloud. An iStick30 and a Nautilus tank is where I usually go with that. As for juice, go to a vape shop, most of them have tasting bars and you can try different juices. There are tobacco and menthol flavored juices available, plus any kind of other flavor that might interest you. How much did you dip? The juice comes in different nicotine strengths, and it's important to get the right one.

Really? What section can i find it under?
Smokeless tobacco that link will take you there, it's in the
Health and Medical section. A quick look and it seems more geared towards ex-smokers augmenting vaping with snus to kick the urges. Good luck with your vape journey, and Welcome to the forum.

Dipping is not common in the UK. As far as I know it's safer in some respects but provides Nicotine is a less direct way than smoking (not sure it you get more or less nicotine, overall).
Vaping would be quite a good alternative as you don't get the 'speed' of Nicotine associated with smoking.
It's hard to say how easily you might tolerate inhaling vapor, but if you got set up with a modern 'mod' e-cig you can put money on it providing enough Nicotine as you can use liquid strengths that range from almost nothing (or nothing, actually) to the equivalent of a good few cigarettes in just a 'session' of puffs.
These days, there are some incredible 'kits' of there that can be used for light and heavy smokers. That's what makes some of them so good.... not like the junk they sell in some malls and gas stations.
Like all e-cigs, searching on the internet can get you in trouble $$ very fast. Too many fake reviews or scam/rip-off brands. This is one of the best things about a forum; you get advice not based on commission sales or lame affiliate recommendations.
I think it would work. Why not. Just get the right product and don't believe the hype from the 'brands' (some are tobacco companies).

Thanks for the reply...i dip about a half to a whole can a day. I found a vape store near me but im not sure they have what i need until i go as far as the strengths of the liquids.I have heard that smokeless tobacco puts more nicotine in your body so i would need a higher strength.I am gonna try and go to the store after work and go from there.

OK, here we go: I will repeat my recommendation for an iStick30 and an Aspire Nautilus tank (they come three sizes and there's not a lot of difference. I recommend the regular or small). Start off with some 12mg juice. That may be too powerful, too weak, or just right. And be aware you can buy the equipment a lot cheaper online but, at the price of snuff, maybe not enough to make up for a can per day until it gets in.
