noob looking for 18650 or 26650 suggestion with low resistance

Hello, I know virtually nothing about ecigs and I don't know where to start. I know that I have many high-quality 18650 and 26650 batteries and chargers, so I would like an ecig that supports one of those batteries. I tried searching and found some people suggesting "starter" options as though I will progress form a "starter" option to an "advanced" option later on - I would like to just get a good value option that will serve me well without me needing to buy another one in a couple months...

So are there any guides for best options under $50 $100? $200? I'm sure there is a nice sweetspot for value. I would like something that I can control the output, but still has a relatively high maximum output as I want a nice big puff.

Thank you

If you are looking to mechanical mods, the Nemesis or most Nemesis clones are a solid place to start, and for VV/VW, I'm really digging my Vamo V2 but want a V5, or a DNA 30 mod would bump serious power, and you could even get geeky enough to build your own with the chip. A lot of your cloud will lie in your PG/VG ratio and tank/atomizer resistance. I like to keep my resistance at 1.8 or under, and I can chuck a good cloud off of my modest Iclear 30s tank. MAKE SURE THOUGH (if your like my bro Trevor who had these batteries for his tacti-cool flashlights) that the batteries you are using are safe for ecigs or aren't intended for a specific usage. I had a Nuon (spelling?) 18650 that wouldn't fire my Vamo above 4 watts, itd just start acting like there was no battery. Start reading the small print and "Oh, its intended for flashlight use only. How bout that?"

Sony 18650's are awesome for our uses, I recommend a few of those. Sorry I'm not more help about the 26650 mods other than that for mech mods I know the Mutant is pretty flippin sweet.

The specific 18650 batteries I have are protected panasonic ncr18650b, unprotected panasonic ncr18650pf, and unprotected sony US18650VTC5.

So I'm looking at these options based on your suggestions:
Vamo V5 Variable Voltage / Wattage Mod - stainless steel / black chromed / 3.0-6.0V / 3.0W-15.0W
HANA MODZ Pack DNA 30 Style Mod - 1*18650 / 7W-30W
Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod (Copper)
iClear 30s Style Dual Coil Clearomizer Tank - translucent / 3ml / 1.6ohm

Would that be all I need? Will that clearomizer be compatible with each of those ecigs? Are there any other popular lower resistance atomizers or clearomizers?

Thank you

I've heard bad things about the Nemesis... Especially the firing button and pin. Personally, I would go with a Chi You or King for your 18650's and the Hades for your 26650. Both are very popular and reliable mods. Do not use the unprotected 18650's as they are! They will cause a short or will just constantly fire without the firing button engaged. If you wrap them in super (and I mean super) stretched out electrical tape they will work just fine. As lazyrobotlabs said, verify their intended use.

Which type chemistry batteries do you have? The ICR Li-ion batteries are considered to be obsolete for mod use, only to be used in flashlights, cameras, and laptops.

You want to use only high-drain, safe-chemistry batteries which are either IMR (Li-Mn) or IMR/Hybrid. For a list of these batteries see the first link below:

Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?

The specific 18650 batteries I have are protected panasonic ncr18650b
These are not a great choice for a mod. They are a hybrid battery with the chemistry heavily weighted to the ICR end of the ICR/IMR mix. Not a high drain battery, and with only 6.8 amps continuous discharge rate. Don't let all those mahs fool you, your mod will not be able to use them. This battery was made for flashlights.

The other Panasonic and the Sony are both fine and recommended for a mod.

If you decide to go with the DNA 30 style I recommend a Stillare or Brass Monkey kit for it if you want to go dripping.
Another option if you want a tank that you can rebuild the coils on, might look at a Kanger Aerotank Mega. I've used mine on my DNA 30 clone and it is a major difference compared to my iTaste 134, and that is with the stock coil in it.

As for the batteries, definitely take the advice that was given above to heart! Batteries and the correct charger for them is one thing that I will NEVER skimp or pinch pennies on.
