I am new to the world of vaping and loving the idea, my experience, however, is not going so well. I feel like I have been either ripped off and lied to or am doing something wrong. I purchased the following PV just before christmas Super Mini Electronic Cigarette SKE201 8589 - US$ 29.99 (marked up to $125! ouch!!!). I did a bit of research before buying, but because I live in Canada and have heard of alot of people having problems getting things across the border (plus the long wait time, cause I am one of those see it, want it, buy it kinda people) I purchased this one because it was the only model carried by a local distributor. It came with 1 bottle of juice and 5 carts, and was advertised to be the equivalent of 50-60 packs of smokes, the salesman told me one battery and cart would last an average smoker all day. So needless to say, a week later, I've burned through half the liquid and have changed the batteries about 10 times a day, I am quite disappointed. I have 2 batteries and the spare doesn't even get to charge fully before the one I am using dies. I met with my salesman today after complaining to him, he said it was probably a faulty atomizer, he replaced the whole starter kit for me but I still have the same issues. Am I smoking it wrong? I read to take 5 second drags, but if I do this, the indicator light starts flashing and it shuts down. Is it wrong to take drags 10 seconds apart because I find that if I don't wait atleast 30 seconds between puffs, I get barely any vapor. After reading some forum posts I do realize that my salesman has quite exaggerated a lot of things, but is there anything I can do differently to make this pv work for me? One of the few things that I have tried that has helped is instead of dripping, I dip, OFTEN!!! lol, I was getting some nasty mouthfuls of oil (from overfilling?). I think maybe my expectations were a bit too high, perhaps someone could recommend one that won't disappoint? After a bit of reading I think I may want a pen style because my main disappointment was in the lack of throat hit and vapour. Any information from a fellow canadian on companies that will ship here (and quickly! willing to pay a bit more for speedy delivery) and a reliable model (longer battery life, more puffs per cart) would be extremely helpful. I sure that info is already on here somewhere, but I am lost after browsing through here for the past 6 hours!! Someone please point me in the right direction!!

Lost and frustrated.

You absolutely need to watch these videos and read from the ECF Library. I really hate to say this, but you got sold a bill of goods. There is no way that a little battery like that is going to last more than a couple of hours at best and 5 carts cannot be the equivalent of 50-60 packs. Faulty atomizer my hind .... cheeks! If you really want a reliable PV with a longer battery life then check out an eGo model or it's less expensive cousin the Riva. I have both and highly recommend them for new people. But, please...watch the videos and check out the Library. They are invaluable resources of knowledge!

one of the things I learned about poor vapor was not to put too much in the atomizer, it gets flooded and can't get hot enough to produce vapor. I take it and blow it out into a tissue and the vapor improved greatly.

I'm not in Canada, so can't help with the other info. But, sounds like you may need something more substantial, or many more batteries. Good luck.

Super-minis - there are lots of poor performing super-minis and just a few decent ones. I am not familiar with the one you have but you payed too much and the salesman lied about super-mini battery life and cart life (unless he only expected you to vape a few puffs every hour haha)

You can see some more popular super-minis if you go to the sticky thread at the top of New Members setion - the thread with Library in its title - follow that to a multipart guide. part 4 shows some popular super-minis and minis.

The problem with all super-minis is generally shortest battery charge life of any ecigarettes, small carts, and sometimes a weak drag though the best supermini models are certainly sufficient for ex-lights and ultralights smokers like me. I use M401 and the same with its shorter battery size M402.

If you are planning to vape constantly then I recommend you actually get something bigger like at least a mini. But if you want something small the M401 is not too bad and is my regular PV - 110 cig length and actually slim like a cig. Batteries are 210mah.

Re evenness of drags - you need to keep your carts topped off and do a full fill occasionally. I am talking about the carts of 2-piece models - carts that are just plastic and stuffing. I refill carts with ejuices I buy. And when the white stuffing starts acting badly I replace it with blue foam stuffing - much nicer.

I don't vape as much as you. I probably take either a puff every 5 min or a bunch of puffs every 15 min. So super-mini M402 batteries actually last 2-3 hours for me, M401 batteries last 4+ hours. I always have a couple batteries on chargers and I have a PCC (a charging case) for when I might need to charge away from home and work.

thankyou for your responses, I did read the 6 part library (it confirmed what little I did know about the piece of junk I got, lol), but it is a little overwhelming and a lot of information for someone like me. All of the numbers and models get a bit confusing, and no one style really stood out to me. I did find my way over to the canada forum where I found some suppliers within canada and I think I will go ahead and order the eGo, hopefully it gets here quick and I will let you know how it works for me. Now to watch more videos!! thankyou WomanOfHeart and everyone for the help.

That's why we're here, lelly. It is overwhelming, but we support each other here. I really think you'll love the eGo. It's an awesome PV that will last for hours and it's so easy to use! Even though I'm using a mod now, my eGo and Riva batteries will always be a part of my vaping hardware. They were my first real "e-cigs" and I quit smoking the day I got mine. You won't be sorry for buying it, I PROMISE!

for about 20 bucks you can have a spiffy little box mod that will rock your world. A few things even a cheap box mod includes that other's don't even think about: a master on off switch so it's pocket friendly, a human sized button that an adult can comfortably hold, go 2 to 3 days without charging, and have the option to use standard batteries, and the option for a no led system, so you can hit the thing in a theatre or something without a blindingly bright light, and at one third the price of a starter kit, you really can't argue. I only wish I spent the 5 bucks at radio shack a little sooner.
